Hassan's coworker Nessa asks for help finishing a big report. The deadline is tomorrow morning.

At the same time, Hassan's sister Keiko plans a family dinner tonight. Everyone will be there.
与此同时，哈桑的姐姐惠子计划今晚办一顿家庭晚餐。大家都会到场。
"I really need your help," Nessa says. "I can't finish this alone by morning."
“我真的需要你帮忙，”内莎说，“我一个人到早上是做不完的。”
Hassan checks the clock. It's already five thirty. The dinner starts at seven.
哈桑看了看时钟。已经五点半了。晚餐七点开始。
"I promised my sister I'd be there," Hassan says. "But I don't want to leave you stuck."
“我答应过姐姐会去的，”哈桑说，“可我也不想丢下你不管。”
Nessa looks at the pile of papers on her desk. "I understand if you need to go," she says.
内莎看着桌上那堆文件。“你要是得走，我能理解，”她说。
Hassan thinks for a minute. He calls Keiko. "I'm going to be a little late tonight," he says.
哈桑想了一会儿。他给惠子打了电话。“我今晚会晚一点到，”他说。
"That's fine," Keiko says. "Just come when you can. We'll save you a plate."
“没关系，”惠子说，“你能来的时候再来就行。我们给你留一份饭。”
Hassan turns back to Nessa. "Let's work fast," he says. "I can stay for one hour."
哈桑转向内莎。“我们抓紧干吧，”他说，“我可以留一个小时。”
They split the report into two parts and work quickly. At six thirty, they finish the last page.
他们把报告分成两部分，飞快地做起来。六点半，他们完成了最后一页。
"Thank you so much," Nessa says. "I needed your help tonight."
“太谢谢你了，”内莎说，“今晚我真的需要你的帮忙。”
Hassan grabs his coat and rushes to catch the bus. He arrives at the dinner just as everyone sits down to eat.
哈桑抓起外套，匆忙赶去坐公交车。他到达晚餐现场时，大家刚好坐下来准备吃饭。
