Elena started working at the city library three years ago. She knows almost every shelf very well. Today, she opens the library at nine o'clock.
埃莲娜三年前开始在市图书馆工作。几乎每一个书架她都很熟悉。今天，她九点钟打开了图书馆的门。
An older man walks in a few minutes later. He looks a little lost, so Elena walks over to help him.
几分钟后，一位老先生走了进来。他看起来有点不知所措，埃莲娜便走过去帮他。
"Good morning. Can I help you find something?" Elena asks.
“早上好。有什么可以帮您的吗？”埃莲娜问。
"Yes, please," the man says. "I'm looking for a book, but I don't remember the title."
“有的，麻烦你了，”老先生说，“我想找一本书，可是我不记得书名了。”
"That's okay," Elena says. "What is the book about?"
“没关系，”埃莲娜说，“这本书讲的是什么？”
"It's about a sailor," the man says. "He gets lost at sea and finds a strange island. I read it years ago."
“讲一个水手的，”老先生说，“他在海上迷了路，发现了一座奇怪的岛。我是很多年前读的。”
Elena thinks for a moment. She remembers a few old books about a sailor and an island.
埃莲娜想了一会儿。她记得有几本讲水手和海岛的旧书。
"I think I know which book you mean," she says. "Follow me, please."
“我想我知道您说的是哪一本，”她说，“请跟我来。”
She walks to the back of the library, past the history section. She stops at a tall shelf near the window.
她走到图书馆后面，经过历史类书架。她在靠窗的一个高书架前停了下来。
"Here it is," Elena says, pulling out an old blue book. "Is this the one?"
“在这儿呢，”埃莲娜说着，抽出一本蓝色的旧书，“是这一本吗？”
The man takes the book and looks at the cover. He smiles a big smile.
老先生接过书，看了看封面。他笑得很开心。
"Yes! This is it!" he says. "I can't believe you found it so fast."
“对！就是它！”他说，“真没想到你这么快就找到了。”
"I read it myself, years ago," Elena says with a smile. "It's one of my favorites too."
“我自己也在很多年前读过，”埃莲娜笑着说，“它也是我最喜欢的书之一。”
The man thanks her again. He walks to a table by the window.
老先生又向她道了谢。他走到靠窗的一张桌子旁。
Elena returns to the front desk. She starts sorting the returned books.
埃莲娜回到前台。她开始整理还回来的书。
