Hassan's coworker Nessa asks for help finishing a big report. The deadline is tomorrow morning.
La compañera de trabajo de Hassan, Nessa, le pide ayuda para terminar un informe importante. La fecha límite es mañana por la mañana.
At the same time, Hassan's sister Keiko plans a family dinner tonight. Everyone will be there.
Al mismo tiempo, la hermana de Hassan, Keiko, organiza una cena familiar esta noche. Todos estarán ahí.
"I really need your help," Nessa says. "I can't finish this alone by morning."
«Realmente necesito tu ayuda», dice Nessa. «No puedo terminar esto sola para la mañana».
Hassan checks the clock. It's already five thirty. The dinner starts at seven.
Hassan mira el reloj. Ya son las cinco y media. La cena empieza a las siete.
"I promised my sister I'd be there," Hassan says. "But I don't want to leave you stuck."
«Le prometí a mi hermana que estaría ahí», dice Hassan. «Pero no quiero dejarte con este problema».
Nessa looks at the pile of papers on her desk. "I understand if you need to go," she says.
Nessa mira la pila de papeles sobre su escritorio. «Entiendo si tienes que irte», dice.
Hassan thinks for a minute. He calls Keiko. "I'm going to be a little late tonight," he says.
Hassan piensa un momento. Llama a Keiko. «Voy a llegar un poco tarde esta noche», dice.
"That's fine," Keiko says. "Just come when you can. We'll save you a plate."
«No hay problema», dice Keiko. «Ven cuando puedas. Te guardaremos un plato».
Hassan turns back to Nessa. "Let's work fast," he says. "I can stay for one hour."
Hassan se vuelve hacia Nessa. «Trabajemos rápido», dice. «Puedo quedarme una hora».
They split the report into two parts and work quickly. At six thirty, they finish the last page.
Dividen el informe en dos partes y trabajan rápido. A las seis y media, terminan la última página.
"Thank you so much," Nessa says. "I needed your help tonight."

Hassan grabs his coat and rushes to catch the bus. He arrives at the dinner just as everyone sits down to eat.
