Marisela's coffee maker stopped making hot coffee. Every cup came out barely warm. She tried it three mornings in a row.
मारिसेला की कॉफ़ी मशीन ने गरम कॉफ़ी बनाना बंद कर दिया। हर कप बस हल्का-सा गुनगुना निकलता था। उसने लगातार तीन सुबह आज़माकर देखा।
She carried the machine to a repair shop downtown. A man behind the counter smiled at her. His name tag said Reggie.
वह मशीन को उठाकर शहर के बीच की एक मरम्मत की दुकान पर ले गई। काउंटर के पीछे खड़ा एक आदमी उसे देखकर मुस्कुराया। उसके नाम-पट्टे पर रेजी लिखा था।
"My coffee maker only makes warm coffee," Marisela said. "It worked fine last month."
"मेरी कॉफ़ी मशीन सिर्फ़ गुनगुनी कॉफ़ी बनाती है," मारिसेला ने कहा। "पिछले महीने तक यह बिल्कुल ठीक चल रही थी।"
Reggie plugged in the machine and ran water through it. He watched the water come out slowly. "I see the problem," he said.
रेजी ने मशीन को प्लग में लगाया और उसमें से पानी चलाया। उसने पानी को धीरे-धीरे निकलते देखा। "मुझे समस्या समझ आ गई," उसने कहा।
"A small valve inside is blocked," Reggie explained. "The water does not heat up fully."

He opened a small panel on the side. He cleaned the valve with a thin brush. Small bits of mineral came out.

"This happens after months of hard water," Reggie said. He rinsed the valve under the tap. Then he dried it with a cloth.

Reggie ran water through the machine again. Steam rose from the top this time. "Now it heats up properly," he said.

He made a fresh cup for her. Marisela took a careful sip. Her face lit up with surprise.

"That's hot!" she said happily. "Thank you very much, Reggie."

Reggie explained how to clean it every month. Marisela wrote a note on her phone. She paid the bill and picked up her machine.
रेजी ने समझाया कि इसे हर महीने कैसे साफ़ करना है। मारिसेला ने अपने फ़ोन पर एक नोट लिख लिया। उसने बिल चुकाया और अपनी मशीन उठा ली।
She walked home with her clean coffee maker. The next morning, she made a fresh pot. The coffee came out hot and strong.
