Anouk and Chidi hike up a wide trail. Two signs stand at the top. One sign points to Eagle Point. The other points to Quiet Ridge.
Anouk e Chidi sobem uma trilha larga. Duas placas ficam no topo. Uma placa aponta para Eagle Point. A outra aponta para Quiet Ridge.
"We only have time for one," Chidi says. He checks his watch. "The bus back leaves in two hours."
"Só temos tempo para um lugar", diz Chidi. Ele olha o relógio. "O ônibus de volta sai em duas horas."
"Eagle Point has a great view," Anouk says. "But Quiet Ridge is near the bus stop."
"Eagle Point tem uma vista incrível", diz Anouk. "Mas Quiet Ridge fica perto do ponto de ônibus."
They stand at the fork and think about it. Chidi pulls out his water bottle and takes a drink.
Eles param na bifurcação e pensam sobre isso. Chidi tira a garrafa de água e toma um gole.
"Let's think about the bus," Chidi says. "If we go to Eagle Point, we will be late."

"You're right," Anouk says. "Let's go to Quiet Ridge instead. We can come back for Eagle Point another day."

They take the path to Quiet Ridge. It is a short, easy walk through tall trees. At the top, they find a wooden bench. It has a wide view of the valley.
Eles pegam o caminho para Quiet Ridge. É uma caminhada curta e fácil por entre árvores altas. No topo, encontram um banco de madeira. Ele tem uma vista ampla do vale.
"This is nice too," Chidi says. He sits down and opens his bag for a snack.
"Isso também é bom", diz Chidi. Ele se senta e abre a mochila para pegar um lanche.
Anouk looks out over the valley and takes a photo. "Eagle Point will still be here next time," she says.
Anouk olha para o vale e tira uma foto. "Eagle Point ainda vai estar aqui da próxima vez", ela diz.
They eat their snacks and watch two birds fly over the trees. Then they start down the trail, back toward the bus stop.
Eles comem o lanche e observam dois pássaros voando sobre as árvores. Depois começam a descer a trilha, de volta para o ponto de ônibus.
They reach the bus stop early. The bus arrives right on time.
Eles chegam cedo ao ponto de ônibus. O ônibus chega bem na hora.
