Anouk and Chidi hike up a wide trail. Two signs stand at the top. One sign points to Eagle Point. The other points to Quiet Ridge.
Anouk y Chidi suben por un camino ancho. Hay dos letreros en la cima. Uno señala hacia Eagle Point. El otro señala hacia Quiet Ridge.
"We only have time for one," Chidi says. He checks his watch. "The bus back leaves in two hours."
«Solo tenemos tiempo para uno», dice Chidi. Revisa su reloj. «El autobús de regreso sale en dos horas».
"Eagle Point has a great view," Anouk says. "But Quiet Ridge is near the bus stop."
«Eagle Point tiene una vista increíble», dice Anouk. «Pero Quiet Ridge está cerca de la parada del autobús».
They stand at the fork and think about it. Chidi pulls out his water bottle and takes a drink.

"Let's think about the bus," Chidi says. "If we go to Eagle Point, we will be late."

"You're right," Anouk says. "Let's go to Quiet Ridge instead. We can come back for Eagle Point another day."

They take the path to Quiet Ridge. It is a short, easy walk through tall trees. At the top, they find a wooden bench. It has a wide view of the valley.

"This is nice too," Chidi says. He sits down and opens his bag for a snack.

Anouk looks out over the valley and takes a photo. "Eagle Point will still be here next time," she says.

They eat their snacks and watch two birds fly over the trees. Then they start down the trail, back toward the bus stop.

They reach the bus stop early. The bus arrives right on time.
