Anouk and Chidi hike up a wide trail. Two signs stand at the top. One sign points to Eagle Point. The other points to Quiet Ridge.
阿努克和奇迪沿着一条宽阔的小路向上爬。顶上立着两块牌子，一块指向鹰岬，另一块指向静岭。
"We only have time for one," Chidi says. He checks his watch. "The bus back leaves in two hours."
“我们只有时间去一个地方，”奇迪说。他看了看手表。“回去的巴士两小时后就开了。”
"Eagle Point has a great view," Anouk says. "But Quiet Ridge is near the bus stop."
“鹰岬的景色很棒，”阿努克说，“可是静岭离公交站近。”
They stand at the fork and think about it. Chidi pulls out his water bottle and takes a drink.
他们站在岔路口想了想。奇迪拿出水瓶，喝了一口水。
"Let's think about the bus," Chidi says. "If we go to Eagle Point, we will be late."
“我们想想巴士的事，”奇迪说，“要是去鹰岬，我们就会迟到。”
"You're right," Anouk says. "Let's go to Quiet Ridge instead. We can come back for Eagle Point another day."
“你说得对，”阿努克说，“那我们去静岭吧。改天再回来看鹰岬。”
They take the path to Quiet Ridge. It is a short, easy walk through tall trees. At the top, they find a wooden bench. It has a wide view of the valley.
他们走上了去静岭的路。那是一段又短又好走的路，穿过高高的树林。到了山顶，他们发现了一条木长椅，从那儿可以看到整个山谷的开阔景色。
"This is nice too," Chidi says. He sits down and opens his bag for a snack.
“这儿也不错，”奇迪说。他坐下来，打开包拿出点心。
Anouk looks out over the valley and takes a photo. "Eagle Point will still be here next time," she says.
阿努克眺望着山谷，拍了一张照片。“鹰岬下次还会在这儿的，”她说。
They eat their snacks and watch two birds fly over the trees. Then they start down the trail, back toward the bus stop.
他们一边吃点心，一边看两只鸟飞过树梢。然后他们沿着小路下山，往公交站走去。
They reach the bus stop early. The bus arrives right on time.
他们很早就到了公交站。巴士准时到达。
