Farid drove home from work. He was on a quiet road. There were no houses near this road. Suddenly, the car made a strange sound. Farid looked at the gas gauge. The tank was almost empty.
Farid dirigia para casa depois do trabalho. Ele estava em uma estrada tranquila. Não havia casas perto dessa estrada. De repente, o carro fez um barulho estranho. Farid olhou para o marcador de combustível. O tanque estava quase vazio.
He stopped the car by the road. He looked around for help. There was no gas station in sight. Farid checked his phone. He had no signal here.
Ele parou o carro na beira da estrada. Ele olhou ao redor em busca de ajuda. Não havia nenhum posto de gasolina à vista. Farid checou o celular. Ele não tinha sinal ali.
He got out of the car. He locked the car and started to walk. The sun was hot that day. Farid walked for twenty minutes. Finally, he saw a small gas station.
Ele saiu do carro. Ele trancou o carro e começou a andar. O sol estava quente naquele dia. Farid andou por vinte minutos. Por fim, ele viu um pequeno posto de gasolina.
He walked up to the door. A man stood behind the counter. "Hello. Can I buy a gas can?" Farid asked. "Sure. Here is a red can," the man said. Farid paid for the can and the gas.
Ele foi até a porta. Um homem estava atrás do balcão. "Olá. Posso comprar uma lata de gasolina?" perguntou Farid. "Claro. Aqui está uma lata vermelha", disse o homem. Farid pagou pela lata e pela gasolina.
He filled the can with gas. He thanked the man and left. He walked back to his car. The walk felt long. He did not stop.
Ele encheu a lata com gasolina. Ele agradeceu ao homem e saiu. Ele voltou andando até o carro. A caminhada pareceu longa. Ele não parou.
At last, he saw his car by the road. Farid opened the tank. He poured in the gas. He got in the car and turned the key. The car started.
Por fim, ele viu o carro na beira da estrada. Farid abriu o tanque. Ele despejou a gasolina. Ele entrou no carro e girou a chave. O carro ligou.
Farid smiled. He drove to the nearest gas station. He filled the tank all the way. Then he drove home.
Farid sorriu. Ele dirigiu até o posto de gasolina mais próximo. Ele encheu o tanque completamente. Depois foi para casa dirigindo.
