Farid drove home from work. He was on a quiet road. There were no houses near this road. Suddenly, the car made a strange sound. Farid looked at the gas gauge. The tank was almost empty.
Farid manejaba a casa desde el trabajo. Estaba en un camino tranquilo. No había casas cerca de este camino. De repente, el carro hizo un sonido extraño. Farid miró el medidor de gasolina. El tanque estaba casi vacío.
He stopped the car by the road. He looked around for help. There was no gas station in sight. Farid checked his phone. He had no signal here.
Detuvo el carro junto al camino. Miró a su alrededor buscando ayuda. No había ninguna gasolinera a la vista. Farid revisó su celular. No tenía señal ahí.
He got out of the car. He locked the car and started to walk. The sun was hot that day. Farid walked for twenty minutes. Finally, he saw a small gas station.
Se bajó del carro. Cerró el carro con llave y empezó a caminar. El sol estaba fuerte ese día. Farid caminó durante veinte minutos. Finalmente, vio una pequeña gasolinera.
He walked up to the door. A man stood behind the counter. "Hello. Can I buy a gas can?" Farid asked. "Sure. Here is a red can," the man said. Farid paid for the can and the gas.

He filled the can with gas. He thanked the man and left. He walked back to his car. The walk felt long. He did not stop.

At last, he saw his car by the road. Farid opened the tank. He poured in the gas. He got in the car and turned the key. The car started.

Farid smiled. He drove to the nearest gas station. He filled the tank all the way. Then he drove home.
Farid sonrió. Manejó hasta la gasolinera más cercana. Llenó el tanque por completo. Luego manejó a casa.
