Perrin wanted to cancel her gym membership. She moved to a new part of town last month. The old gym was too far now.
Perrin queria cancelar a assinatura da academia. Ela se mudou para uma nova parte da cidade no mês passado. A academia antiga agora ficava muito longe.
She opened the gym's app on her phone. She looked for a cancel button everywhere. The app had no such button.
Ela abriu o aplicativo da academia no celular. Procurou um botão de cancelar em todo lugar. O aplicativo não tinha esse botão.
She tapped on "Help" inside the app. It only showed workout videos. Perrin closed the app and sighed.
Ela tocou em "Ajuda" dentro do aplicativo. Só aparecia vídeos de treino. Perrin fechou o aplicativo e suspirou.
She called the gym's front desk instead. A worker named Vasilis picked up the phone. "I want to cancel my membership," Perrin said.
Ela ligou para a recepção da academia. Um funcionário chamado Vasilis atendeu o telefone. "Eu quero cancelar minha assinatura", disse Perrin.
"No problem," Vasilis said. "I can do that right now." He asked for her name and her member number.
"Sem problema", disse Vasilis. "Posso fazer isso agora mesmo." Ele pediu o nome dela e o número de sócia.
Perrin read the numbers from her card. Vasilis typed for a moment. "All done," he said. "Your membership ends this week."
Perrin leu os números do cartão. Vasilis digitou por um momento. "Pronto", ele disse. "Sua assinatura termina essa semana."
"That was easy," Perrin said. "The app was very confusing." Vasilis laughed a little on the phone.
"Isso foi fácil", disse Perrin. "O aplicativo era muito confuso." Vasilis riu um pouco ao telefone.
"A lot of people say that," he said. "Call us next time." Perrin thanked him and hung up the phone.
"Muita gente diz isso", ele disse. "Ligue para a gente da próxima vez." Perrin agradeceu e desligou o telefone.
She put her gym card in a drawer. She closed the drawer and made lunch.
