The Mirror That Started Teasing

Adrian had a new smart mirror in his bathroom. Every morning, it told him the weather and the time. He liked it because it was simple and quiet.

Adrian tenía un espejo inteligente nuevo en su baño. Cada mañana, le decía el clima y la hora. Le gustaba porque era sencillo y silencioso.

One Saturday, his sister Stella came to stay for the weekend. She loved gadgets and always wanted to try new settings.

Un sábado, su hermana Stella llegó para pasar el fin de semana. Le encantaban los aparatos electrónicos y siempre quería probar nuevas configuraciones.

On Sunday morning, Adrian stood in front of the mirror. "Good morning," said the mirror. "That shirt is an interesting choice today."

El domingo por la mañana, Adrian se paró frente al espejo. «Buenos días», dijo el espejo. «Esa camisa es una elección interesante para hoy».

Adrian stopped and looked at the screen. "What did you say?"

Adrian se detuvo y miró la pantalla. «¿Qué dijiste?».

"I said your shirt is interesting," the mirror said again. "Also, your hair looks a little wild this morning."

«Dije que tu camisa es interesante», repitió el espejo. «Además, tu cabello se ve un poco alborotado esta mañana».

Adrian frowned. "This mirror never talked like this before."

Adrian frunció el ceño. «Este espejo nunca había hablado así antes».

He walked to the kitchen and found Stella at the table. "Did you do something to my mirror?" he asked.

Fue a la cocina y encontró a Stella en la mesa. «¿Le hiciste algo a mi espejo?», preguntó.

Stella smiled. "I found a joke mode in the settings last night. I turned it on for fun."

Stella sonrió. «Encontré un modo de bromas en la configuración anoche. Lo activé por diversión».

"Please turn it off," Adrian said. "I don't need comments before coffee."

«Por favor, apágalo», dijo Adrian. «No necesito comentarios antes del café».

Stella laughed and went back to the bathroom. She opened the mirror's app and pressed a button. The joke mode turned off.

Stella se rió y regresó al baño. Abrió la aplicación del espejo y presionó un botón. El modo de bromas se apagó.

The next morning, Adrian stood in front of the mirror again.

A la mañana siguiente, Adrian se paró de nuevo frente al espejo.

"Good morning," said the mirror. "It is seven o'clock and sunny outside."

«Buenos días», dijo el espejo. «Son las siete y hace sol afuera».

Adrian smiled and picked up his toothbrush. Quiet mornings were back.
