Ravi orders an animal costume online for Spirit Week at school. He picks a wolf costume, gray with sharp teeth.
拉维在网上为学校的精神周订了一套动物服装。他选了一套狼的服装，灰色的，带着尖牙。
The box arrives the night before Spirit Week. Ravi opens it fast and pulls out the costume.
盒子在精神周前一天晚上到了。拉维飞快地打开，把服装拿了出来。
It isn't a wolf. It's a giant hot dog costume, bright yellow and round. A red mustard line runs across the top.
这不是狼。这是一套巨大的热狗服装，亮黄色，圆滚滚的。顶上有一道红色的芥末酱。
"This isn't what I ordered," Ravi says to his sister Delphine. He checks the box label twice.
“这不是我订的，”拉维对他妹妹德尔菲娜说。他把盒子上的标签看了两遍。
"There's no time to send it back," Delphine says. "The store won't ship a new one before tomorrow."
“来不及退货了，”德尔菲娜说，“商店明天之前不可能再寄一套新的。”
Ravi sits on his bed and stares at the costume. "I can't wear a hot dog to school," he says.
拉维坐在床上，盯着那套服装。“我不能穿着热狗去学校，”他说。
Delphine picks up the costume and holds it against him. "Actually, this is funny," she says. "Everyone will remember it."
德尔菲娜拿起服装，在他身上比了比。“其实，这挺好笑的，”她说，“大家都会记住你的。”
Ravi thinks about it for a minute. "Fine," he says. "I'll wear the hot dog."
拉维想了一会儿。“好吧，”他说，“我穿热狗。”
The next morning, Ravi walks into school inside the big yellow costume. Students stop and stare, then start to laugh.
第二天早上，拉维穿着那套巨大的黄色服装走进了学校。同学们停下脚步，盯着他看，然后笑了起来。
"Nice costume!" someone shouts. A group of students ask to take pictures with him.
“这衣服真棒！”有人喊道。一群同学请他一起合影。
By lunchtime, everyone at school knows about the hot dog costume. Ravi laughs about his wolf costume that never arrived.
到了午饭时间，学校里人人都知道了那套热狗服装。拉维想起那套始终没送到的狼服装，不由得笑了。
