The Delivery Driver and the Tip

Bodhi ordered pizza for a study night with friends. He added a tip inside the app. Then he paid for the order.

Bodhi pediu pizza para uma noite de estudos com os amigos. Ele adicionou uma gorjeta dentro do aplicativo. Depois pagou pelo pedido.

The driver arrived twenty minutes later. He carried the pizza box up the stairs. Bodhi opened the door with a smile.

O entregador chegou vinte minutos depois. Ele carregou a caixa de pizza escada acima. Bodhi abriu a porta com um sorriso.

"Here's your pizza," the driver said. He looked at his phone and frowned a little. "The app shows no tip," he said.

"Aqui está sua pizza", disse o entregador. Ele olhou para o celular e franziu a testa um pouco. "O aplicativo não mostra nenhuma gorjeta", disse ele.

Bodhi felt confused. "I added a tip," he said. "I am sure of it." He checked his own phone too.

Bodhi ficou confuso. "Eu adicionei uma gorjeta", disse ele. "Tenho certeza disso." Ele também conferiu o próprio celular.

His screen showed the tip clearly. He turned his phone around. "Look, it's right here," Bodhi said.

Sua tela mostrava a gorjeta claramente. Ele virou o celular. "Olha, está bem aqui", disse Bodhi.

The driver checked his phone again. "Oh, I see it now," he said. "It's under a different screen."

O entregador conferiu o celular de novo. "Ah, agora estou vendo", disse ele. "Está numa tela diferente."

"That's okay," Bodhi said. "No problem at all." The driver smiled and thanked him for the tip.

"Tudo bem", disse Bodhi. "Sem problema nenhum." O entregador sorriu e agradeceu pela gorjeta.

"Sorry about that," the driver said. "Have a good night." He walked back down the stairs slowly.

"Desculpe por isso", disse o entregador. "Tenha uma boa noite." Ele desceu as escadas devagar.

Bodhi closed the door and carried the pizza inside. His friends were already at the table. He set the box down and smiled.

Bodhi fechou a porta e levou a pizza para dentro. Seus amigos já estavam na mesa. Ele colocou a caixa e sorriu.
