The Delivery Driver and the Tip

Bodhi ordered pizza for a study night with friends. He added a tip inside the app. Then he paid for the order.

बोधि ने दोस्तों के साथ पढ़ाई की रात के लिए पिज़्ज़ा ऑर्डर किया। उसने ऐप में ही टिप जोड़ दी। फिर उसने ऑर्डर के पैसे चुका दिए।

The driver arrived twenty minutes later. He carried the pizza box up the stairs. Bodhi opened the door with a smile.

ड्राइवर बीस मिनट बाद पहुँचा। वह पिज़्ज़ा का डिब्बा लेकर सीढ़ियाँ चढ़कर आया। बोधि ने मुस्कुराकर दरवाज़ा खोला।

"Here's your pizza," the driver said. He looked at his phone and frowned a little. "The app shows no tip," he said.

"यह रहा आपका पिज़्ज़ा," ड्राइवर ने कहा। उसने अपने फ़ोन में देखा और ज़रा-सा माथे पर बल डाला। "ऐप में कोई टिप नहीं दिख रही," उसने कहा।

Bodhi felt confused. "I added a tip," he said. "I am sure of it." He checked his own phone too.

बोधि उलझन में पड़ गया। "मैंने टिप जोड़ी थी," उसने कहा। "मुझे पक्का याद है।" उसने अपना फ़ोन भी देखा।

His screen showed the tip clearly. He turned his phone around. "Look, it's right here," Bodhi said.

उसकी स्क्रीन पर टिप साफ़ दिख रही थी। उसने अपना फ़ोन घुमा दिया। "देखिए, यह यहीं है," बोधि ने कहा।

The driver checked his phone again. "Oh, I see it now," he said. "It's under a different screen."

ड्राइवर ने अपना फ़ोन फिर से देखा। "अरे, अब दिख गई," उसने कहा। "यह किसी दूसरी स्क्रीन पर है।"

"That's okay," Bodhi said. "No problem at all." The driver smiled and thanked him for the tip.

"कोई बात नहीं," बोधि ने कहा। "बिल्कुल कोई दिक़्क़त नहीं।" ड्राइवर ने मुस्कुराकर टिप के लिए उसका शुक्रिया अदा किया।

"Sorry about that," the driver said. "Have a good night." He walked back down the stairs slowly.

"उस बात के लिए माफ़ कीजिए," ड्राइवर ने कहा। "आपकी रात अच्छी बीते।" वह धीरे-धीरे सीढ़ियाँ उतरकर चला गया।

Bodhi closed the door and carried the pizza inside. His friends were already at the table. He set the box down and smiled.

बोधि ने दरवाज़ा बंद किया और पिज़्ज़ा अंदर ले गया। उसके दोस्त पहले से मेज़ पर बैठे थे। उसने डिब्बा रखा और मुस्कुरा दिया।
