The Guide Who Got Turned Around

Gustav leads walking tours through the old town every day. Today he takes a small group down a new street. Workers block the road. Gustav turns another way.

Gustav memandu tur jalan kaki keliling kota tua setiap hari. Hari ini ia membawa rombongan kecil menyusuri jalan yang baru. Para pekerja menutup jalan. Gustav berbelok ke arah lain.

He leads the group down new, quiet streets. The streets twist and turn in every direction. Gustav checks his own map, but it looks different here.

Ia memandu rombongan menyusuri jalan-jalan baru yang sepi. Jalan-jalan itu berkelok dan bercabang ke segala arah. Gustav memeriksa petanya sendiri, tetapi tampaknya berbeda di sini.

Rae, one of the tourists, notices his confused face. "Are we lost?" Rae asks with a small laugh.

"A little," Gustav says. "This is new for me too."

"Sedikit," kata Gustav. "Ini juga baru bagi saya."

Rae opens the map app on her phone. "I saved this area yesterday," she says.

Rae membuka aplikasi peta di ponselnya. "Kemarin saya menyimpan kawasan ini," katanya.

She shows Gustav the blue dot on her screen. "Turn left at the next corner," she tells him.

Ia menunjukkan titik biru di layarnya kepada Gustav. "Belok kiri di pojok berikutnya," katanya.

Gustav follows her directions down the narrow street. The group turns left and finds the main square again.

Gustav mengikuti arahannya menyusuri jalan yang sempit itu. Rombongan berbelok ke kiri dan menemukan alun-alun utama lagi.

"There's the fountain," Gustav says, and laughs.

"Itu air mancurnya," kata Gustav, lalu tertawa.

"I think I know this street now too," Rae says.

Gustav laughs and thanks her for the help. The group claps and continues the tour together.
