Ondine drops off the same red coat every month. The dry cleaner sits two blocks from her office. She picks it up every Friday.
Setiap bulan Ondine menitipkan mantel merah yang sama. Tempat binatu itu berjarak dua blok dari kantornya. Ia mengambilnya setiap hari Jumat.
This Friday, Ondine walks in and gives her ticket. A worker named Behnaz finds the coat on the rack. She gives it to Ondine with a smile.
Jumat ini, Ondine masuk dan menyerahkan tiketnya. Seorang pekerja bernama Behnaz menemukan mantel itu di rak. Ia memberikannya kepada Ondine sambil tersenyum.
Ondine checks the coat carefully. She looks at the front and the sleeves. Something looks different this time.
Ondine memeriksa mantel itu dengan teliti. Ia melihat bagian depan dan lengannya. Kali ini ada yang terlihat berbeda.
A button near the top looks new. Ondine points at the button. "Is this new?" she asks.
Sebuah kancing di dekat bagian atas tampak baru. Ondine menunjuk kancing itu. "Apakah ini baru?" tanyanya.
"Yes," Behnaz says. "That button was loose. We fixed it for free."
"Ya," kata Behnaz. "Kancing itu longgar. Kami memperbaikinya gratis."
"I did not see that before," Ondine says. She looks at the other buttons too. They all match perfectly now.
"Tadinya saya tidak melihat itu," kata Ondine. Ia melihat kancing-kancing yang lain juga. Sekarang semuanya sangat serasi.
"We check every coat closely," Behnaz says. "Small problems are easy to fix." Ondine nods and touches the new button gently.
"Kami memeriksa setiap mantel dengan teliti," kata Behnaz. "Masalah kecil mudah diperbaiki." Ondine mengangguk dan menyentuh kancing baru itu dengan lembut.
"Thank you very much," Ondine says. "This is a nice surprise." Behnaz smiles and folds the coat neatly.
"Terima kasih banyak," kata Ondine. "Ini kejutan yang menyenangkan." Behnaz tersenyum dan melipat mantel itu dengan rapi.
Behnaz hands her a bag for the coat. Ondine pays for the cleaning only. She walks out and carries her coat home.
Behnaz memberinya tas untuk mantel itu. Ondine hanya membayar biaya pencuciannya. Ia keluar dan membawa mantelnya pulang.
