Wyatt texts his friend Iris on Saturday morning.
Wyatt le escribe un mensaje a su amiga Iris el sábado por la mañana.
"Let's meet at the park after lunch," he writes.
«Nos vemos en el parque después del almuerzo», escribe él.
"Sounds good! See you there," Iris replies.
«¡Suena bien! Nos vemos allá», responde Iris.
At one o'clock, Wyatt walks to Oak Park.
A la una en punto, Wyatt camina hacia el parque Oak.
He sits on a bench and waits.
Se sienta en una banca y espera.
Ten minutes pass, and Iris is not there.
Pasan diez minutos, e Iris no llega.
Wyatt checks his phone, but there are no messages.
Wyatt revisa su teléfono, pero no hay mensajes.
Across town, Iris waits at Pine Park.
Al otro lado de la ciudad, Iris espera en el parque Pine.
She looks around, but she does not see Wyatt.
Ella mira a su alrededor, pero no ve a Wyatt.
"Where is he?" Iris says to herself.
«¿Dónde está?», se dice Iris a sí misma.
She sends Wyatt a text with a question mark.
Le envía a Wyatt un mensaje con un signo de interrogación.
Wyatt's phone buzzes, and he reads the message.
El teléfono de Wyatt suena, y él lee el mensaje.
"I'm at Oak Park, by the big tree," he writes.
«Estoy en el parque Oak, junto al árbol grande», escribe él.
"I'm at Pine Park, near the swings," Iris writes back.
«Estoy en el parque Pine, cerca de los columpios», responde Iris.
"Oh no, there are two parks!" Wyatt writes, laughing.
«¡Ay, no, hay dos parques!», escribe Wyatt, riendo.
"I always forget that," Iris writes with a laughing face.
«Siempre se me olvida eso», escribe Iris con una carita de risa.
"Stay there. I'll come to you," Wyatt writes.
«Quédate ahí. Voy para allá», escribe Wyatt.
He gets up and starts to walk.
Se levanta y empieza a caminar.
Fifteen minutes later, he sees Iris by the swings.
Quince minutos después, ve a Iris junto a los columpios.
"Finally!" Wyatt says. "Sorry about that."
«¡Por fin!», dice Wyatt. «Perdón por eso».
He is a little out of breath.
Está un poco sin aliento.
"No problem, at least we found each other," Iris says.
«No hay problema, al menos nos encontramos», dice Iris.
They both laugh and sit down on a bench.
Ambos ríen y se sientan en una banca.
"Next time, let's pick one park," Iris says.
«La próxima vez, elijamos un solo parque», dice Iris.
"Deal," Wyatt says, and they start to talk.
«Trato hecho», dice Wyatt, y empiezan a hablar.
