Oscar's bike tire goes flat far from home, so he pushes it to a nearby shop for a quick fix.

Oscar rides his bike to the park. The park is far from his house. Suddenly, the back wheel feels soft. He stops and looks at the tire.
Oscar anda en bicicleta hacia el parque. El parque está lejos de su casa. De repente, la llanta de atrás se siente blanda. Se detiene y mira la llanta.
The tire is flat. Oscar checks his small bag. He has a pump but no patch.
La llanta está pinchada. Oscar revisa su bolsa pequeña. Tiene una bomba de aire, pero no tiene un parche.
He looks up and down the street. He sees a bike shop on the corner. He pushes his bike to the shop.
Mira a lo largo de la calle. Ve una tienda de bicicletas en la esquina. Empuja su bicicleta hasta la tienda.
"Hi, my tire is flat," Oscar says.
«Hola, tengo la llanta pinchada», dice Oscar.
"No problem," the man in the shop says. "Let me check it."
«No hay problema», dice el hombre de la tienda. «Déjeme revisarla».
The man looks at the tire. He finds a small piece of glass. "Here is the problem," he says.
El hombre mira la llanta. Encuentra un pequeño pedazo de vidrio. «Aquí está el problema», dice.
He pulls out the glass. He puts a patch on the tire. He fills the tire with air.
Saca el vidrio. Le pone un parche a la llanta. La llena de aire.
"That should work now," he says.
«Eso debería funcionar ahora», dice.
"Thank you so much," Oscar says. "How much do I pay?"
«Muchas gracias», dice Oscar. «¿Cuánto le debo?»
"Just five dollars," the man says.
«Solo cinco dólares», dice el hombre.
Oscar pays the man and says thanks again. He checks the tire one more time. It feels hard and strong.
Oscar le paga al hombre y le da las gracias otra vez. Revisa la llanta una vez más. Se siente dura y firme.
Oscar gets on his bike. He rides home under the evening sky.
Oscar se sube a su bicicleta. Va a casa bajo el cielo de la tarde.
