Piper wanted new running shoes for the school team. She found a good pair on a shopping website. She picked her usual size, seven, and ordered them. The website showed a five-day delivery time. Piper waited and checked the mail every day.
Piper queria um tênis de corrida novo para o time da escola. Ela encontrou um bom par em um site de compras. Ela escolheu o seu tamanho de sempre, trinta e sete, e fez o pedido. O site mostrava um prazo de entrega de cinco dias. Piper esperou e conferiu a caixa de correio todos os dias.
On the fifth day, a box arrived at her door. She opened it fast and pulled out the shoes. They were blue and white, just like the picture. Piper put one shoe on her foot. It felt much too big, and her heel slid inside.
No quinto dia, uma caixa chegou à porta dela. Ela abriu rápido e tirou o tênis de dentro. Eram azuis e brancos, exatamente como na foto. Piper colocou um dos tênis no pé. Ficou grande demais, e o calcanhar dela escorregava lá dentro.
She checked the shoe box and read the label. The label said size nine, not size seven. "That's strange," Piper said. "I ordered size seven." She looked at her order on the website again. The order said size seven, so the store made a mistake.

Piper wrote a message to the store's help team. She explained that the shoes were the wrong size. She asked for an exchange for the correct size. The next day, a reply arrived in her email. "We are sorry. We will send a new pair," it said.

The store also sent a free shipping label for the return. Piper put the too-big shoes back in the box. She taped the box and added the new label. She dropped the box off at the post office. A week later, a new box arrived at her door.

This time, the shoes fit perfectly. Piper laced them up and smiled at her feet. "Finally, the right size," she said, and ran outside to practice.
Dessa vez, o tênis serviu perfeitamente. Piper amarrou os cadarços e sorriu para os próprios pés. "Finalmente, o tamanho certo", ela disse, e saiu correndo para treinar.
