On Sunday morning, Jana walked to the park. She carried her blue yoga mat. A free yoga class started at nine.
No domingo de manhã, Jana caminhou até o parque. Ela levava seu tapete de ioga azul. Uma aula de ioga gratuita começava às nove.
Near the big tree, she saw a group of people. Many of them had dogs.
Perto da árvore grande, ela viu um grupo de pessoas. Muitas delas tinham cachorros.
"Maybe it is yoga with dogs," Jana thought. She put her mat on the grass.
"Talvez seja ioga com cachorros", pensou Jana. Ela colocou o tapete na grama.
A woman with a whistle smiled at her. "Welcome to dog class!" she said. "Today the dogs learn to sit."
Uma mulher com um apito sorriu para ela. "Bem-vinda à aula de cães!", disse. "Hoje os cachorros aprendem a sentar."
Jana looked at her mat. "This is not yoga?" she asked.
Jana olhou para o tapete. "Isto não é ioga?", perguntou.
"No," the woman said. "This is dog training."
"Não", disse a mulher. "Isto é adestramento de cães."
Jana had no dog, but she did not leave. She sat on her mat and watched.
Jana não tinha cachorro, mas não foi embora. Ela se sentou no tapete e ficou observando.
A small black dog sat down. A big brown dog lay on the grass. One funny dog ran in circles. Jana laughed and laughed.
Um cachorrinho preto sentou. Um cachorro marrom grande se deitou na grama. Um cachorro engraçado corria em círculos. Jana ria e ria.
Then the small dog walked onto her mat. He sat down. Jana gave him a smile.
Então o cachorrinho subiu no tapete dela. Ele se sentou. Jana deu um sorriso para ele.
At last, she asked a man. "Where is the yoga class?"
Por fim, ela perguntou a um homem. "Onde é a aula de ioga?"
"By the lake," he said. "They start at nine."
"Perto do lago", ele disse. "Elas começam às nove."
Jana picked up her mat and ran to the lake. The yoga teacher looked at her.
Jana pegou o tapete e correu até o lago. A professora de ioga olhou para ela.
"You are late," the teacher said.
"Você está atrasada", disse a professora.
"I know," Jana said. "I was at dog class."
"Eu sei", disse Jana. "Eu estava na aula de cães."
