Two Classrooms

It is Maya's first day at a new school. She has a map and a class schedule. Her friend Theo goes to the same school.

Ini hari pertama Maya di sekolah baru. Ia membawa peta dan jadwal pelajaran. Temannya, Theo, bersekolah di tempat yang sama.

Before class, Maya sends Theo a text. "Let's meet at the science room," she writes. Theo replies, "Okay, see you there!"

Sebelum kelas, Maya mengirim pesan kepada Theo. "Ayo bertemu di ruang sains," tulisnya. Theo membalas, "Oke, sampai ketemu di sana!"

Maya walks to the science room in the old building. She waits by the door, but Theo does not come. She checks her phone. No new messages.

Maya berjalan ke ruang sains di gedung lama. Ia menunggu di dekat pintu, tetapi Theo tidak datang. Ia memeriksa ponselnya. Tidak ada pesan baru.

Theo is waiting too, but in a different room. The school has two science rooms. One room is old, and one is new. Theo is standing outside the new room.

Theo juga sedang menunggu, tetapi di ruangan yang berbeda. Sekolah itu punya dua ruang sains. Satu ruangan lama, dan satu lagi baru. Theo berdiri di luar ruangan yang baru.

After ten minutes, Maya starts to worry. She walks around the school to look for Theo. She checks the library, the gym, and the hallway near the office.

Setelah sepuluh menit, Maya mulai khawatir. Ia berkeliling sekolah untuk mencari Theo. Ia memeriksa perpustakaan, gimnasium, dan lorong dekat kantor.

Finally, she sees a boy near the new building. It is Theo! He waves and runs toward her.

Akhirnya, ia melihat seorang anak laki-laki di dekat gedung baru. Itu Theo! Ia melambai dan berlari menghampirinya.

"I was waiting in the wrong room," Theo says. "There are two science rooms here."

"Aku menunggu di ruangan yang salah," kata Theo. "Di sini ada dua ruang sains."

"Me too!" Maya says, and they both laugh. "Next time, let's use room numbers instead."

"Aku juga!" kata Maya, dan mereka berdua tertawa. "Lain kali, kita pakai nomor ruangan saja."

They walk into their first class together, just in time. The teacher smiles and points to two empty seats near the window.

Mereka masuk ke kelas pertama bersama-sama, tepat pada waktunya. Guru tersenyum dan menunjuk dua kursi kosong di dekat jendela.

"Welcome," the teacher says. "Please sit down and open your books."

"Selamat datang," kata guru itu. "Silakan duduk dan buka buku kalian."

Maya and Theo sit down together and open their new books.
