The Anniversary Mix-Up

Pax wanted a surprise for his wife. Today was their anniversary. He wanted a night to remember.

Pax ingin memberi kejutan untuk istrinya. Hari ini hari ulang tahun pernikahan mereka. Ia ingin malam yang tak terlupakan.

He booked a table at the Blue Fish. It was her favorite restaurant. He told no one about it.

Ia memesan meja di Blue Fish. Itu restoran favorit istrinya. Ia tidak memberi tahu siapa pun.

His wife had the same idea. She also wanted a surprise. She booked a table at the Red Lamp. She did not tell anyone.

Istrinya punya gagasan yang sama. Ia juga ingin memberi kejutan. Ia memesan meja di Red Lamp. Ia tidak memberi tahu siapa pun.

At seven o'clock, Pax sat alone at the Blue Fish. He had flowers in his hands. The waiter brought him water. Pax waited.

Pukul tujuh, Pax duduk sendirian di Blue Fish. Ia memegang seikat bunga. Pelayan membawakan air untuknya. Pax menunggu.

At the Red Lamp, his wife sat alone too. She looked at the door many times. Nobody came.

Di Red Lamp, istrinya juga duduk sendirian. Ia berkali-kali memandang ke pintu. Tidak ada yang datang.

After half an hour, Pax took out his phone. "Where are you?" he asked.

Setelah setengah jam, Pax mengeluarkan ponselnya. "Kamu di mana?" tanyanya.

"I am at the Red Lamp," she said. "Where are you?"

"Aku di Red Lamp," kata istrinya. "Kamu di mana?"

"I am at the Blue Fish!" said Pax. Then he laughed. His wife laughed too.

"Aku di Blue Fish!" kata Pax. Lalu ia tertawa. Istrinya ikut tertawa.

"Let's meet halfway," she said. "I see a park on the map."

"Ayo kita bertemu di tengah," kata istrinya. "Aku lihat ada taman di peta."

Pax walked to the park with his flowers. His wife walked there with a small gift. They met by a big fountain.

Pax berjalan ke taman dengan bunganya. Istrinya berjalan ke sana dengan sebuah hadiah kecil. Mereka bertemu di dekat air mancur yang besar.

Near the fountain, a man sold hot noodles. His truck was small. The smell was wonderful. They bought two bowls and sat on a bench.

Di dekat air mancur, seorang pria menjual mi panas. Truknya kecil. Aromanya luar biasa. Mereka membeli dua mangkuk dan duduk di sebuah bangku.

"Best anniversary ever," Pax said. His wife gave him the gift.

"Ulang tahun pernikahan terbaik," kata Pax. Istrinya memberinya hadiah itu.
