A small delivery robot stops in front of Imani's house. It beeps twice and waits. Imani opens the door, but there is no package for her.
एक छोटा डिलीवरी रोबोट इमानी के घर के सामने रुकता है। वह दो बार बीप करता है और इंतज़ार करता है। इमानी दरवाज़ा खोलती है, पर उसके लिए कोई पैकेज नहीं है।
"That's not our robot," says Fenn, her brother. "We didn't order anything."
"यह हमारा रोबोट नहीं है," उसका भाई फ़ेन कहता है। "हमने तो कुछ मँगवाया ही नहीं।"
The robot has a screen on its front. It shows an order number and a photo of a box. Imani looks again and reads the address.
रोबोट के आगे एक स्क्रीन है। उस पर एक ऑर्डर नंबर और एक डिब्बे की तस्वीर दिख रही है। इमानी फिर से देखती है और पता पढ़ती है।
"This package is for the house on Maple Street," she says. "That's three streets away."
"यह पैकेज मेपल स्ट्रीट के घर के लिए है," वह कहती है। "वह यहाँ से तीन गलियाँ दूर है।"
Fenn laughs. "The robot is lost."
फ़ेन हँसता है। "रोबोट रास्ता भटक गया है।"
Imani finds a small phone number under the screen. She calls it, and a calm voice from the delivery company answers.
इमानी को स्क्रीन के नीचे एक छोटा फ़ोन नंबर मिलता है। वह उस पर फ़ोन करती है और डिलीवरी कंपनी की ओर से एक शांत आवाज़ जवाब देती है।
"Our robot stopped at the wrong address," Imani says. "The screen shows Maple Street, but we live on Birch Street."
"हमारा रोबोट ग़लत पते पर रुक गया है," इमानी कहती है। "स्क्रीन पर मेपल स्ट्रीट दिख रही है, पर हम बर्च स्ट्रीट पर रहते हैं।"
"Thank you for calling," the voice says. "We will send new directions to the robot now."
"फ़ोन करने के लिए शुक्रिया," आवाज़ कहती है। "हम अभी रोबोट को नए निर्देश भेज रहे हैं।"
The robot's wheels turn, and it beeps again. Then it rolls back down the path. It turns toward the street.
रोबोट के पहिए घूमते हैं और वह फिर से बीप करता है। फिर वह रास्ते पर वापस लुढ़कता जाता है। वह सड़क की ओर मुड़ता है।
"It's going to try again," Fenn says.
"यह फिर से कोशिश करने जा रहा है," फ़ेन कहता है।
They watch it move down the sidewalk and turn the corner. A few minutes later, Imani's phone buzzes with a message. The package reaches the right house on Maple Street.

"Maybe we need a robot too," Fenn says with a grin.

Imani shakes her head and closes the door.
