Odette and Finn run along the river trail every Saturday morning. Today, they try a new part of the trail.
ओडेट और फ़िन हर शनिवार सुबह नदी के रास्ते पर दौड़ने जाते हैं। आज वे रास्ते का एक नया हिस्सा आज़माते हैं।
The path forks near an old wooden sign. The sign is old, and the words are hard to read.
एक पुराने लकड़ी के साइन के पास रास्ता दो हिस्सों में बँट जाता है। साइन पुराना है, और उस पर लिखे शब्द पढ़ना मुश्किल है।
"I think it says the lake is this way," Finn says. He points left.
"मुझे लगता है इसमें लिखा है कि झील इस तरफ़ है," फ़िन कहता है। वह बाईं ओर इशारा करता है।
"I think it says right," Odette says. "Let's go left, because you saw it first."

They run down the left path for ten minutes. The trail gets narrow and rocky.

"This doesn't feel right," Odette says. "Maybe we are on the wrong path."

They stop and look at their phone map. The blue dot shows them far from the lake trail.
वे रुककर अपने फ़ोन का नक्शा देखते हैं। नीला बिंदु उन्हें झील वाले रास्ते से बहुत दूर दिखाता है।
"We went the wrong way," Finn says. "The sign meant right, not left."

They turn around and run back to the fork. This time, they take the right path.
वे मुड़कर दौड़ते हुए वापस उस मोड़ तक आते हैं जहाँ रास्ता बँटता है। इस बार वे दाएँ रास्ते पर जाते हैं।
Ten minutes later, they see the lake through the trees. Blue water sparkles in the morning sun.
दस मिनट बाद उन्हें पेड़ों के बीच से झील दिखाई देती है। सुबह की धूप में नीला पानी चमक रहा है।
"We found it," Odette says. She laughs. "Next time, I choose the direction."
"हमें मिल गई," ओडेट कहती है। वह हँसती है। "अगली बार दिशा मैं चुनूँगी।"
"Deal," Finn says. "But I still think the sign was confusing."
