Cora runs with a running club every Saturday morning. She usually finishes near the front of the group.
कोरा हर शनिवार सुबह एक रनिंग क्लब के साथ दौड़ती है। वह आमतौर पर समूह में सबसे आगे के लोगों के पास ही दौड़ पूरी करती है।
One Saturday, a new runner named Ilan joins the club. He looks nervous before the run starts. He tells the group leader this is his first five kilometers.
एक शनिवार क्लब में इलान नाम का एक नया धावक आता है। दौड़ शुरू होने से पहले वह घबराया हुआ दिखता है। वह समूह के लीडर को बताता है कि यह उसके पाँच किलोमीटर की पहली दौड़ है।
The group starts running together. After ten minutes, Ilan falls behind the others. His face turns red, and his steps slow down.
समूह साथ मिलकर दौड़ना शुरू करता है। दस मिनट बाद इलान बाक़ी लोगों से पीछे रह जाता है। उसका चेहरा लाल हो जाता है और उसके क़दम धीमे पड़ जाते हैं।
Cora notices him from the front of the group. She stops and waits for him instead of finishing with her friends.
कोरा समूह के आगे से उसे देखती है। वह अपने दोस्तों के साथ दौड़ ख़त्म करने के बजाय रुककर उसका इंतज़ार करती है।
"Do you want company?" she asks.
"क्या तुम्हें साथ चाहिए?" वह पूछती है।
"I'm really slow today," Ilan says between breaths.
"मैं आज सच में बहुत धीमा हूँ," इलान हाँफते हुए कहता है।
"That's okay," Cora says. "Let's just run together. No rush."
"कोई बात नहीं," कोरा कहती है। "बस साथ-साथ दौड़ते हैं। कोई जल्दी नहीं है।"
They run side by side for the rest of the route. Cora talks about the path. She shows him a nice view by the river.
वे बाक़ी पूरे रास्ते साथ-साथ दौड़ते हैं। कोरा रास्ते के बारे में बताती है। वह उसे नदी के किनारे का एक सुंदर नज़ारा दिखाती है।
Ilan's breathing calms down, and he begins to enjoy the run.
इलान की साँसें शांत हो जाती हैं और उसे दौड़ में मज़ा आने लगता है।
When they finally reach the finish line, the club is already there.
जब वे आख़िरकार फ़िनिश लाइन पर पहुँचते हैं, तो क्लब के लोग वहाँ पहले से मौजूद होते हैं।
Ilan looks embarrassed, but Cora shakes her head.
इलान शर्मिंदा दिखता है, पर कोरा सिर हिलाती है।
"Everyone starts somewhere," she says. "I was slow too, my first time."
"हर किसी को कहीं से तो शुरू करना ही पड़ता है," वह कहती है। "मैं भी अपनी पहली बार में धीमी थी।"
Ilan smiles. "Thanks for staying with me," he says.
इलान मुस्कुराता है। "मेरे साथ रुकने के लिए शुक्रिया," वह कहता है।
"Same time next Saturday?" Cora asks.
"अगले शनिवार इसी समय?" कोरा पूछती है।
"Definitely," Ilan says.
"बिल्कुल," इलान कहता है।
