The Drone on the Wrong Roof

Juno sat on the back porch and did homework. A small delivery drone flew overhead. It dropped a package on the shed roof next door.

Juno estaba sentado en el porche de atrás haciendo la tarea. Un pequeño dron de entregas voló por encima. Dejó caer un paquete en el techo del cobertizo de al lado.

The new neighbor, Soren, walked outside and looked up at his roof. He looked confused.

El nuevo vecino, Soren, salió y miró hacia el techo. Parecía confundido.

"That drone just left my package up there," Soren said. "I don't know how to get it down."

«Ese dron acaba de dejar mi paquete allá arriba», dijo Soren. «No sé cómo bajarlo».

Juno walked over to the fence. "I can help," Juno said. "Did you use the delivery app?"

Juno se acercó a la cerca. «Puedo ayudar», dijo Juno. «¿Usaste la aplicación de entregas?»

"Yes, but I don't understand it very well," Soren said. "I just moved here last week."

«Sí, pero no la entiendo muy bien», dijo Soren. «Me mudé aquí la semana pasada».

Juno looked at the app on Soren's phone. "There's a button for a failed delivery," Juno said. "It says 'package stuck.' You tap here."

Juno miró la aplicación en el teléfono de Soren. «Hay un botón para una entrega fallida», dijo Juno. «Dice "paquete atascado". Tocas aquí».

Soren tapped the button. A message appeared: "A drone will return in ten minutes."

Soren tocó el botón. Apareció un mensaje: «Un dron volverá en diez minutos».

They waited by the fence and talked about the neighborhood. Ten minutes later, a second drone arrived.

Esperaron junto a la cerca y hablaron sobre el vecindario. Diez minutos después, llegó un segundo dron.

It flew close to the roof. It picked up the package with a small claw. Then it placed the package safely on the porch.

Voló cerca del techo. Recogió el paquete con una pequeña pinza. Luego dejó el paquete a salvo en el porche.

"That's amazing," Soren said. "Thank you for your help, Juno. You know a lot about this!"

«Eso es increíble», dijo Soren. «Gracias por tu ayuda, Juno. ¡Sabes mucho de esto!»

Juno smiled. "I use delivery drones all the time," Juno said. "You'll learn the app fast."

Juno sonrió. «Uso drones de entrega todo el tiempo», dijo Juno. «Aprenderás la aplicación rápido».
