Every Sunday, Yves played drums in his garage. His friends Isak and Hiba came at two o'clock. Isak played the guitar. Hiba sang.
They played loud songs for two hours. The garage door was always closed. The walls shook a little.
One Sunday, they played a very loud song. Yves hit the drums hard. Then they heard a knock on the door.
Yves stopped. The room was quiet. "Oh no," he said. "That is the neighbor."
He opened the door. A woman stood outside. She had a serious face. She held a long black case.
"Hello," Yves said. "I am sorry. We are too loud, I know. We can stop now."
The woman looked at him. "Stop?" she said. "Why?"
"Because of the noise," said Yves.
She laughed. "No, no. I like the noise! I hear you every Sunday. I sit in my kitchen and listen to your songs."
She put the case on the floor and opened it. Inside was a big, shiny bass.
"I play too," she said. "May I join you?"
Yves looked at his friends. Then he smiled. "Of course," he said. "We start again at two. Come in."
