But one day the Wolf found the skin of a sheep that had been thrown aside. He put it on over his own coat, and strolled down among the flock.
Mas um dia o Lobo encontrou a pele de uma ovelha que havia sido jogada fora. Vestiu-a por cima do próprio pelo e foi passear entre o rebanho.
A lamb soon began to follow the Wolf, thinking it was its mother. So, leading the lamb a little apart from the others, the Wolf made a fine meal of her.
Um cordeiro logo começou a segui-lo, pensando que fosse sua mãe. Então, levando o cordeiro um pouco à parte dos outros, o Lobo fez dele uma bela refeição.
For some time he went on deceiving the sheep and enjoying good meals.

But one evening the shepherd, wanting a bit of mutton for his supper, happened to pick the very animal in whose skin the Wolf was hiding. And that was the end of the Wolf.
Mas certa noite o pastor, querendo um pedaço de carneiro para o jantar, por acaso escolheu justamente o animal em cuja pele o Lobo estava escondido. E esse foi o fim do Lobo.
