Perla landed after a short flight and grabbed her bag. She pulled a black carry-on from the overhead bin. It looked just like hers, with the same gray handle.
Perla mendarat setelah penerbangan singkat dan mengambil tasnya. Ia menarik sebuah tas kabin hitam dari kompartemen di atas kursi. Tas itu tampak persis seperti miliknya, dengan gagang abu-abu yang sama.
Perla walked off the plane and through the terminal. At the taxi line, she opened the bag. She looked for her wallet inside.
Perla turun dari pesawat dan berjalan melewati terminal. Di antrean taksi, ia membuka tas itu. Ia mencari dompetnya di dalam.
Inside, she found a man's shirts and a book. "This isn't my bag," Perla said out loud.
Di dalamnya, ia menemukan kemeja-kemeja pria dan sebuah buku. "Ini bukan tasku," kata Perla keras-keras.
She checked the tag. The name said Joaquin. Perla looked at the gate agent nearby.
Ia memeriksa label namanya. Tertulis Joaquin. Perla melihat petugas gerbang di dekatnya.
"I think I took the wrong bag," she said.
"Sepertinya saya salah mengambil tas," katanya.
The agent called the airline's lost and found desk. A man ran up to the desk minutes later. "Did anyone find a black bag?" he asked.
Petugas itu menelepon meja barang hilang maskapai. Beberapa menit kemudian, seorang pria berlari ke meja itu. "Apakah ada yang menemukan tas hitam?" tanyanya.
"That's Joaquin," the agent said, and pointed at Perla.
"Itu Joaquin," kata petugas itu sambil menunjuk Perla.
Perla held up the bag with a small smile. "I think this is yours," she said.
Perla mengangkat tas itu sambil tersenyum kecil. "Sepertinya ini milik Anda," katanya.
Joaquin checked the tag and laughed. "And this one must be yours," he said. He held up her bag.
Joaquin memeriksa labelnya dan tertawa. "Dan yang ini pasti milik Anda," katanya. Ia mengangkat tas Perla.
They traded bags right there at the desk. Perla opened her own bag and found her wallet inside. Both of them checked their tags twice before leaving.
Mereka bertukar tas di meja itu juga. Perla membuka tasnya sendiri dan menemukan dompetnya di dalam. Keduanya memeriksa label masing-masing dua kali sebelum pergi.
