Ivy walks into Room 204 for her Monday science class. The room looks strange today.
आइवी सोमवार की अपनी साइंस क्लास के लिए कमरा नंबर 204 में जाती है। आज कमरा अजीब लग रहा है।
All the desks are gone. Only empty shelves stand in their place.
सारी डेस्कें ग़ायब हैं। उनकी जगह सिर्फ़ ख़ाली शेल्फ़ें खड़ी हैं।
Ivy checks her school schedule app again. It still says Room 204, second period.
आइवी अपना स्कूल शेड्यूल ऐप दोबारा देखती है। उसमें अब भी कमरा नंबर 204, दूसरा पीरियड लिखा है।
Other students arrive in small groups. They laugh and talk, but no one understands why.
दूसरे विद्यार्थी छोटे-छोटे समूहों में आते हैं। वे हँसते-बोलते हैं, लेकिन किसी को समझ नहीं आता कि ऐसा क्यों है।
"Maybe we are in the wrong place," says her friend Wyatt.
"शायद हम ग़लत जगह आ गए हैं," उसका दोस्त वायट कहता है।
Ivy looks at the room number by the door. It clearly says 204.
आइवी दरवाज़े के पास लगा कमरे का नंबर देखती है। उस पर साफ़-साफ़ 204 लिखा है।
She walks to the school office to ask. The secretary checks the computer screen.
वह पूछने के लिए स्कूल के ऑफ़िस जाती है। सेक्रेटरी कंप्यूटर की स्क्रीन देखती है।
"Room 204 moved to the second floor this week," the secretary says. "We sent an email on Friday."
"कमरा नंबर 204 इस हफ़्ते दूसरी मंज़िल पर चला गया है," सेक्रेटरी कहती है। "हमने शुक्रवार को एक ईमेल भेजा था।"
Ivy checks her email on her phone. There it is, one message she never opened.
आइवी अपने फ़ोन पर ईमेल देखती है। वह रहा, एक ऐसा संदेश जिसे उसने कभी खोला ही नहीं।
She thanks the secretary and runs to find Wyatt. "Follow me," she says. "We have the wrong floor."
वह सेक्रेटरी को धन्यवाद देती है और वायट को ढूँढ़ने दौड़ती है। "मेरे पीछे आओ," वह कहती है। "हम ग़लत मंज़िल पर आ गए हैं।"
They climb the stairs together and find the real Room 204. The teacher stands at the board, ready to start.
वे दोनों साथ सीढ़ियाँ चढ़ते हैं और असली कमरा नंबर 204 ढूँढ़ लेते हैं। टीचर बोर्ड के पास खड़े हैं, शुरू करने को तैयार।
"Sorry we're late," Ivy says. "We didn't see the email about the room change."
"देर से आने के लिए माफ़ कीजिए," आइवी कहती है। "हमने कमरा बदलने वाला ईमेल नहीं देखा था।"
