On Saturday morning, a moving truck parked outside Briar's building. A new family carried boxes up the front steps all day. Briar watched from her window, curious about her new neighbors.
शनिवार की सुबह एक मूविंग ट्रक ब्रायर की इमारत के बाहर आकर रुका। एक नया परिवार दिन भर डिब्बे उठा-उठाकर सामने की सीढ़ियों से ऊपर ले जाता रहा। ब्रायर अपनी खिड़की से देखती रही। उसे अपने नए पड़ोसियों के बारे में बड़ी उत्सुकता थी।
By afternoon, Briar noticed a girl about her age. The girl struggled with a heavy box. The girl set the box down and rested for a moment.
दोपहर तक ब्रायर ने अपनी उम्र की एक लड़की को देखा। वह लड़की एक भारी डिब्बे के साथ जूझ रही थी। उसने डिब्बा नीचे रखा और थोड़ी देर आराम किया।
Briar grabbed her shoes and ran downstairs. "Can I help you carry that?" she asked. "Yes, please," the girl said. "This box is really heavy."
ब्रायर ने अपने जूते उठाए और भागकर नीचे गई। "क्या मैं इसे उठाने में तुम्हारी मदद कर दूँ?" उसने पूछा। "हाँ, प्लीज़," लड़की ने कहा। "यह डिब्बा सच में बहुत भारी है।"
"I'm Briar. I live right upstairs." "I'm Celeste," the girl said. "We just moved from another city."
"मैं ब्रायर हूँ। मैं ठीक ऊपर रहती हूँ।" "मैं सेलेस्ट हूँ," लड़की ने कहा। "हम अभी दूसरे शहर से आए हैं।"
They carried the box up three flights of stairs together. When they finished, both girls felt tired and happy.
उन्होंने मिलकर डिब्बे को तीन मंज़िल ऊपर पहुँचाया। जब काम ख़त्म हुआ, तो दोनों लड़कियाँ थकी हुई भी थीं और ख़ुश भी।
Celeste's mother thanked Briar warmly. "Thank you so much for your help," she said. Briar smiled and picked up another box from the truck.
सेलेस्ट की माँ ने ब्रायर को दिल से धन्यवाद दिया। "तुम्हारी मदद के लिए बहुत-बहुत शुक्रिया," उन्होंने कहा। ब्रायर मुस्कुराई और ट्रक से एक और डिब्बा उठा लिया।
That evening, all the boxes were finally inside. Celeste opened a pizza box on the living room floor. "Stay and eat with us," she said to Briar. "There's plenty for everyone."
उस शाम आख़िरकार सारे डिब्बे अंदर पहुँच गए। सेलेस्ट ने बैठक के फ़र्श पर एक पिज़्ज़ा का डिब्बा खोला। "रुक जाओ, हमारे साथ खा लो," उसने ब्रायर से कहा। "सबके लिए काफ़ी है।"
Briar sat down on the floor with Celeste and her family. They ate pizza together, surrounded by unopened boxes.
ब्रायर सेलेस्ट और उसके परिवार के साथ फ़र्श पर बैठ गई। उन्होंने बिना खुले डिब्बों से घिरे हुए साथ बैठकर पिज़्ज़ा खाया।
