Deepa's family plans a garage sale this weekend. Deepa must choose what to sell. She looks through her old things.
दीपा का परिवार इस हफ़्ते के अंत में गैराज सेल करने की योजना बना रहा है। दीपा को चुनना है कि क्या बेचना है। वह अपनी पुरानी चीज़ें देखती है।
Boxes fill most of the garage. Old toys sit next to old books. Some things she forgot she even had.
गैराज का ज़्यादातर हिस्सा डिब्बों से भरा है। पुराने खिलौने पुरानी किताबों के बगल में रखे हैं। कुछ चीज़ों के बारे में तो वह भूल ही गई थी कि उसके पास हैं।
She finds her old bicycle in the garage. She also finds a box of old toys. She cannot sell everything.
उसे गैराज में अपनी पुरानी साइकिल मिलती है। उसे पुराने खिलौनों का एक डिब्बा भी मिलता है। वह सब कुछ नहीं बेच सकती।
The bicycle is too small for her now. She never rides it anymore these days. But it has many happy memories.
साइकिल अब उसके लिए बहुत छोटी है। इन दिनों वह उसे कभी नहीं चलाती। पर उससे जुड़ी बहुत-सी ख़ुशनुमा यादें हैं।
She remembers riding it with her father. They rode around the block every summer. Those were fun, easy afternoons.
उसे अपने पापा के साथ उसे चलाना याद आता है। वे हर गर्मी में मोहल्ले का चक्कर लगाते थे। वे मज़ेदार, आराम भरी दोपहरें थीं।
The toys are also from her childhood. She does not play with them either. But a young kid will enjoy them instead.
खिलौने भी उसके बचपन के हैं। वह उनसे भी नहीं खेलती। पर कोई छोटा बच्चा उनका मज़ा लेगा।
Deepa thinks about both items carefully. She decides to keep the bicycle. She wants to give it to her cousin.
दीपा दोनों चीज़ों के बारे में ध्यान से सोचती है। वह साइकिल रखने का फ़ैसला करती है। वह उसे अपने चचेरे भाई को देना चाहती है।
She wipes the dust off the bicycle. She rolls it into the garage corner. It will wait there for her cousin.
वह साइकिल की धूल पोंछती है। वह उसे लुढ़काकर गैराज के कोने में रख देती है। वह वहाँ उसके चचेरे भाई का इंतज़ार करेगी।
She puts the box of toys outside. A young girl buys them happily. Deepa waves and says goodbye to the toys.
वह खिलौनों का डिब्बा बाहर रख देती है। एक छोटी लड़की ख़ुशी-ख़ुशी उन्हें ख़रीद लेती है। दीपा हाथ हिलाकर खिलौनों को अलविदा कहती है।
