Lost House Keys

Nadia comes home late from work. She looks for her keys in her bag. She checks the bag two times. The keys are not there.

नादिया काम से देर से घर आती है। वह अपने बैग में चाबियाँ ढूँढ़ती है। वह बैग को दो बार देखती है। चाबियाँ वहाँ नहीं हैं।

She thinks about her day. She had the keys at lunch. She used them to lock her bike. She thinks she left them at the café.

वह अपने दिन के बारे में सोचती है। दोपहर के खाने के समय उसके पास चाबियाँ थीं। उसने उनसे अपनी साइकिल का ताला लगाया था। उसे लगता है कि वह उन्हें कैफ़े में छोड़ आई है।

Nadia calls the café on her phone. A man answers the phone. "Hello, this is the Green Cup Café," he says.

नादिया अपने फ़ोन से कैफ़े को फ़ोन करती है। एक आदमी फ़ोन उठाता है। "नमस्ते, यह ग्रीन कप कैफ़े है," वह कहता है।

"Hi, I think I left my keys there," Nadia says. "Can you check the tables, please?"

"नमस्ते, मुझे लगता है मैं अपनी चाबियाँ वहीं छोड़ आई हूँ," नादिया कहती है। "क्या आप मेज़ों पर देख लेंगे, प्लीज़?"

"One moment, please," the man says. He walks around the café. "Yes! I see a key ring here."

"एक मिनट, प्लीज़," आदमी कहता है। वह कैफ़े में घूमकर देखता है। "हाँ! यहाँ एक चाबियों का छल्ला दिख रहा है।"

"Great news," Nadia says. "I will come right now."

"बहुत अच्छी ख़बर है," नादिया कहती है। "मैं अभी आती हूँ।"

She walks back to the café. It is only ten minutes away. The man gives her the keys.

वह पैदल कैफ़े वापस जाती है। वह वहाँ से बस दस मिनट दूर है। आदमी उसे चाबियाँ दे देता है।

"Here you are," he says. "Have a good evening."

"ये लीजिए," वह कहता है। "आपकी शाम अच्छी बीते।"

Nadia takes the keys and checks them two times. Yes, these are her keys.

नादिया चाबियाँ लेकर उन्हें दो बार जाँचती है। हाँ, ये उसी की चाबियाँ हैं।

She walks home and opens her door. She puts the keys in a small bowl. The bowl sits by the front door. Now she will always find them there.

वह पैदल घर जाती है और अपना दरवाज़ा खोलती है। वह चाबियाँ एक छोटी कटोरी में रख देती है। कटोरी सामने के दरवाज़े के पास रखी है। अब वे उसे हमेशा वहीं मिलेंगी।
