Lost House Keys

Nadia comes home late from work. She looks for her keys in her bag. She checks the bag two times. The keys are not there.

Nadia llega tarde a casa del trabajo. Busca sus llaves en el bolso. Revisa el bolso dos veces. Las llaves no están.

She thinks about her day. She had the keys at lunch. She used them to lock her bike. She thinks she left them at the café.

Piensa en su día. Tenía las llaves en el almuerzo. Las usó para cerrar el candado de su bicicleta. Cree que las dejó en el café.

Nadia calls the café on her phone. A man answers the phone. "Hello, this is the Green Cup Café," he says.

Nadia llama al café desde su teléfono. Un hombre contesta. «Hola, le habla del Café Green Cup», dice.

"Hi, I think I left my keys there," Nadia says. "Can you check the tables, please?"

«Hola, creo que dejé mis llaves ahí», dice Nadia. «¿Podría revisar las mesas, por favor?»

"One moment, please," the man says. He walks around the café. "Yes! I see a key ring here."

«Un momento, por favor», dice el hombre. Camina por el café. «¡Sí! Veo un llavero aquí».

"Great news," Nadia says. "I will come right now."

«Qué buena noticia», dice Nadia. «Voy para allá ahora mismo».

She walks back to the café. It is only ten minutes away. The man gives her the keys.

Camina de regreso al café. Está a solo diez minutos. El hombre le da las llaves.

"Here you are," he says. "Have a good evening."

«Aquí tiene», dice él. «Que tenga buena tarde».

Nadia takes the keys and checks them two times. Yes, these are her keys.

Nadia toma las llaves y las revisa dos veces. Sí, estas son sus llaves.

She walks home and opens her door. She puts the keys in a small bowl. The bowl sits by the front door. Now she will always find them there.

Camina a casa y abre la puerta. Pone las llaves en un tazón pequeño. El tazón está junto a la puerta principal. Ahora siempre las encontrará ahí.
