Damaris went to her coworker's wedding on Saturday. The room was full of family and old friends. She only knew the bride and groom well.
Damaris fue a la boda de su compañera de trabajo el sábado. El salón estaba lleno de familiares y viejos amigos. Ella solo conocía bien a la novia y al novio.
At table nine, she noticed a quiet man sitting alone. He wore a nice suit. He looked uncomfortable in the crowd.
En la mesa nueve, notó a un hombre callado sentado solo. Llevaba un traje elegante. Se veía incómodo entre la multitud.
Damaris walked over and sat down beside him. "I don't think we know each other," she said. "I'm Damaris. I work with the groom."

"I'm Aurelio," he said. "I came with my sister. She's the bride's old roommate."

"That's a good reason to be here," Damaris said. She smiled warmly. "Do you know anyone else at this wedding?"

"I don't know many people here," Aurelio admitted.
«No conozco a mucha gente aquí», admitió Aurelio.
"Well, now you know me," Damaris said. "Do you want to dance? The band just started."
«Bueno, ahora me conoces a mí», dijo Damaris. «¿Quieres bailar? La banda apenas empezó».
Aurelio smiled for the first time. "Yes, let's dance," he said.
Aurelio sonrió por primera vez. «Sí, bailemos», dijo.
They danced through two whole songs. Aurelio was a good dancer, too.
Bailaron dos canciones completas. Aurelio también bailaba bien.
Damaris introduced him to her table of friends. Aurelio told a funny story about his sister. The whole table laughed together.
Damaris lo presentó a su mesa de amigos. Aurelio contó una historia graciosa sobre su hermana. Toda la mesa se rio junta.
Near the end of the night, Aurelio found Damaris again. "Thank you for talking to me first," he said. "Can I call you sometime?"

Damaris smiled and pulled out her phone. "Give me your number," she said. "Let's dance again next time."

The next weekend, Aurelio called Damaris as promised. They met for coffee near her office. It was an easy, fun date.
