The Message That Read Itself

Every message Freya sends to her friend group shows as "seen" by Diego within seconds. This happens even at two in the morning, even when he later swears he was asleep the whole time. At first, the others in the chat find it funny, teasing him about secretly being awake all night. Diego insists, a little defensively, that he genuinely isn't.
