Amara and Lior's anniversary is next month. They want to take a short trip together.
El aniversario de Amara y Lior es el próximo mes. Quieren hacer un viaje corto juntos.
They sit at the kitchen table with a map and two brochures. "We have two good choices," Lior says.
Se sientan en la mesa de la cocina con un mapa y dos folletos. «Tenemos dos buenas opciones», dice Lior.
The first choice is a cabin near the mountains. It has a fireplace and a quiet lake nearby.
La primera opción es una cabaña cerca de las montañas. Tiene una chimenea y un lago tranquilo cerca.
The second choice is a small hotel by the beach. It has a pool and a restaurant with local food.
La segunda opción es un pequeño hotel junto a la playa. Tiene una piscina y un restaurante con comida local.
"I like the mountains," Amara says. "We can hike and relax by the fire at night."
«A mí me gustan las montañas», dice Amara. «Podemos caminar y relajarnos junto al fuego en la noche».
"I like the beach," Lior says. "We can swim and eat fresh fish every day."
«A mí me gusta la playa», dice Lior. «Podemos nadar y comer pescado fresco todos los días».
They talk about both trips for a long time. Neither one wants to choose for the other.
Hablan de los dos viajes durante un buen rato. Ninguno quiere decidir por el otro.
"Let's pick based on the weather," Amara says. "What does the forecast say for next month?"
«Elijamos según el clima», dice Amara. «¿Qué dice el pronóstico para el próximo mes?».
Lior checks his phone. "Rain in the mountains, sun at the beach," he says.
Lior revisa su celular. «Lluvia en las montañas, sol en la playa», dice.
"Then it's easy," Amara says with a laugh. "The beach it is."
«Entonces es fácil», dice Amara riendo. «Que sea la playa».
Lior books the small hotel that night. "We'll do the mountains next year," he says. "I promise."
Lior reserva el pequeño hotel esa misma noche. «Iremos a las montañas el próximo año», dice. «Lo prometo».
Amara kisses his cheek. "Deal," she says. They start making a list of things to pack for the beach.
Amara le da un beso en la mejilla. «Trato hecho», dice ella. Empiezan a hacer una lista de cosas para empacar para la playa.
