Two Job Offers

Rosa gets two different job offers in the same week and must decide which one fits her life with her son.
Rosa works at a small shop, but she wants a new job. This week, she gets two job offers. Now she must choose between them.
The first offer is from a big company downtown. The pay is high, and the office is modern. But the workday starts at seven in the morning.
The second offer is from a clinic near her street. The pay is a little lower than the company job. The clinic only needs her from nine to four.
Rosa writes both offers on a piece of paper. Under each one, she writes what she likes. The company job means more money and a long train ride.
The clinic job means less money but a short walk to work. She will also finish early enough to see her son after school.
She calls her friend Daniel that evening for advice. "I don't know which job to pick," she tells him.
"Think about your son," Daniel says. "Which job gives you more time with him?"
Rosa looks at her list again. She reads the clinic's short hours one more time. She thinks about walking her son home from school.
The next morning, Rosa calls the clinic manager. "Hello, this is Rosa," she says. "I would like to accept the job."
