The ferry left the town early in the morning. Dunja stood at the front with a cup of tea. The sea was bright, and the wind was cold. She wanted a photo of this moment.
渡轮一大早离开了小镇。杜尼娅端着一杯茶站在船头。海面明亮,风很冷。她想为这一刻拍一张照片。
A tall man stood next to her. He had a small blue bag. She asked, "Excuse me, can you take my photo, please?"
她旁边站着一位高个子男人。他拿着一个蓝色的小包。她问:“打扰一下,能请你帮我拍张照吗?”
"Of course," he said. He took her phone and stepped back. He held it up. "One, two, three!"
“当然可以,”他说。他接过她的手机,向后退了一步。他把手机举起来。“一、二、三!”
Dunja smiled her best smile. Then she looked at the picture. It showed the sea, the sky, and her feet. Her head was not in it.
杜尼娅露出了最灿烂的笑容。然后她看了看照片。照片里有大海、天空,还有她的脚。她的头不在里面。
"Oh no," the man said. His face went red. "I am so sorry. I am not good with phones."
“哎呀,糟了,”男人说。他的脸红了。“真对不起。我不太会用手机。”
Dunja started to laugh, and soon he laughed too. They laughed so much that a woman nearby looked at them.
杜尼娅笑了起来,很快他也笑了。他们笑得太厉害,附近的一位女士都看了过来。
"Let me try again," he said. He took ten more photos. In one, she had her eyes closed. In another, a bird sat on her shoulder. In the last one, she was perfect.
“让我再试一次,”他说。他又拍了十张照片。有一张里,她闭着眼睛。另一张里,一只鸟落在她的肩膀上。最后一张里,她看起来完美极了。
"This is the best one," she said. "Thank you. My name is Dunja."
“这张最好,”她说,“谢谢你。我叫杜尼娅。”
"I am Pedro," he said.
“我叫佩德罗,”他说。
They sat on a bench and drank their tea. They talked about his work, her town, and their favorite food. The time went fast. Then the ferry horn sounded, and the island came near.
他们在长椅上坐下,喝着茶。他们聊起了他的工作、她的小镇,还有各自最喜欢的食物。时间过得很快。然后渡轮的汽笛响了,海岛越来越近。
"Do you know the way to the old town?" Pedro asked.
“你知道去老城区的路怎么走吗?”佩德罗问。
"No," Dunja said, "but we can find it together."
“不知道,”杜尼娅说,“不过我们可以一起找。”
