Ezra is going to meet Naomi's best friend today. He feels nervous about it. He wants Dara to like him.
埃兹拉今天要去见娜奥米的好朋友。他心里很紧张。他希望达拉会喜欢他。
Naomi tells him not to worry. "Dara is easy to talk to," she says. "Just be yourself."
娜奥米让他别担心。“达拉很好聊天，”她说，“你做你自己就行。”
They arrive at the coffee shop first. Ezra picks a table near the window and orders three coffees.
他们先到了咖啡馆。埃兹拉选了一张靠窗的桌子，点了三杯咖啡。
Dara walks in a few minutes later. "Hi, you're Ezra, right?" she says with a big smile. "Naomi talks about you all the time."
几分钟后，达拉走了进来。“嗨，你是埃兹拉吧？”她笑容灿烂地说，“娜奥米总是提起你。”
Ezra doesn't know what to say at first. Then he remembers something Naomi told him. "You two went to school together, right?" he asks.
一开始，埃兹拉不知道该说什么。接着他想起了娜奥米跟他说过的一件事。“你们俩是同学，对吧？”他问。
Dara's face lights up. "Yes! We were in the same class for six years," she says. She starts telling stories about Naomi as a kid.
达拉的脸一下子亮了起来。“是啊！我们同班六年，”她说。她开始讲娜奥米小时候的故事。
Naomi laughs and covers her face. "Please stop," she says, but she smiles too.
娜奥米笑着捂住了脸。“求你别说了，”她说，可她自己也笑着。
Ezra listens closely and asks other questions. He learns about Naomi's old hobbies and her favorite foods.
埃兹拉认真地听着，又问了别的问题。他了解到娜奥米以前的爱好和她最爱吃的食物。
An hour passes quickly. Dara stands up and grabs her bag. "I have to go now," she says. "But Ezra, you're welcome anytime."
一个小时很快就过去了。达拉站起身，拿起包。“我得走了，”她说，“不过埃兹拉，随时欢迎你。”
After Dara leaves, Naomi turns to Ezra. "So? What do you think?" she asks.
达拉走后，娜奥米转向埃兹拉。“怎么样？你觉得她如何？”她问。
"I like her," Ezra says. "And I think she likes me too." Naomi squeezes his hand under the table.
“我喜欢她，”埃兹拉说，“我觉得她也喜欢我。”娜奥米在桌子下面握了握他的手。
