The Slow Laptop Fix

Finn's laptop does not turn on. It is early, before his first class. He tries the power button three times.

Laptop Finn tidak mau menyala. Hari masih pagi, sebelum kelas pertamanya. Ia menekan tombol daya tiga kali.

He carries the laptop to a small repair shop. The shop is next to a bakery. A sign in the window reads "Fast Fixes."

Ia membawa laptop itu ke sebuah bengkel kecil. Bengkel itu bersebelahan dengan toko roti. Sebuah papan di jendela bertuliskan "Servis Cepat."

"My laptop does not turn on," Finn tells the man. "I need it for class today."

"Laptop saya tidak mau menyala," kata Finn kepada pria itu. "Saya butuh untuk kelas hari ini."

The man's name tag says Percy. He plugs in the laptop and waits. "Let me take a look," Percy says.

Papan nama pria itu bertuliskan Percy. Ia menancapkan kabel laptop itu dan menunggu. "Biar saya lihat dulu," kata Percy.

Percy opens the back of the laptop. He shines a small light inside. "Look at all this dust," he says.

Percy membuka bagian belakang laptop itu. Ia menyorotkan senter kecil ke dalam. "Lihat debu sebanyak ini," katanya.

"Is that the problem?" Finn asks. He feels a little worried.

"Apakah itu masalahnya?" tanya Finn. Ia merasa agak khawatir.

"The fan is full of dust," Percy explains. "It cannot spin. The laptop does not start."

"Kipasnya penuh debu," jelas Percy. "Kipasnya tidak bisa berputar. Laptopnya tidak mau menyala."

Percy takes a small brush from a drawer. He cleans the fan slowly. Dust falls onto a paper towel.

Percy mengambil sikat kecil dari laci. Ia membersihkan kipas itu pelan-pelan. Debu jatuh ke atas selembar tisu dapur.

He closes the laptop and presses the power button. The screen lights up right away. Finn watches with wide eyes.

Ia menutup laptop itu dan menekan tombol daya. Layarnya langsung menyala. Finn memperhatikan dengan mata terbelalak.

"That's it?" Finn asks. "The fix was very quick."

"Hanya itu?" tanya Finn. "Perbaikannya cepat sekali."

"Just a good cleaning," Percy says. "That is ten dollars."

"Cuma dibersihkan dengan benar," kata Percy. "Biayanya sepuluh dolar."

Finn pays and thanks Percy. He puts the laptop in his bag. He has time before class now.

Finn membayar dan berterima kasih kepada Percy. Ia memasukkan laptop itu ke dalam tasnya. Sekarang ia punya waktu sebelum kelas.

He walks out of the shop quickly. His bus comes in five minutes. Finn starts a light run down the street.

Ia cepat-cepat keluar dari bengkel. Busnya datang lima menit lagi. Finn mulai berlari kecil menyusuri jalan.
