Elouise receives a gift blender from her aunt. She already owns the exact same blender. She decides to return it for store credit.
एलुईस को अपनी चाची से तोहफ़े में एक ब्लेंडर मिलता है। उसके पास ठीक वैसा ही ब्लेंडर पहले से है। वह उसे स्टोर क्रेडिट के लिए लौटाने का फ़ैसला करती है।
She checks every drawer at home. She finds no receipt anywhere. She drives to the store anyway.
वह घर की हर दराज़ देखती है। उसे कहीं कोई रसीद नहीं मिलती। फिर भी वह कार से स्टोर पहुँच जाती है।
"I don't have a receipt," Elouise tells the clerk. A woman named Selby looks at the box.
"मेरे पास रसीद नहीं है," एलुईस क्लर्क से कहती है। सेल्बी नाम की एक महिला डिब्बे को देखती है।
"That's okay," Selby says. "I can look it up with your card." Elouise hands over her credit card.
"कोई बात नहीं," सेल्बी कहती है। "मैं आपके कार्ड से इसे ढूँढ सकती हूँ।" एलुईस अपना क्रेडिट कार्ड थमा देती है।
Selby types the card number into the computer. The purchase appears on the screen right away. "Found it," she says.
सेल्बी कंप्यूटर में कार्ड नंबर डालती है। ख़रीद तुरंत स्क्रीन पर आ जाती है। "मिल गया," वह कहती है।
"Great," Elouise says. "What happens now?" Selby prints a new receipt and hands it back.
"बढ़िया," एलुईस कहती है। "अब क्या होगा?" सेल्बी एक नई रसीद प्रिंट करके उसे लौटा देती है।
"I can give you store credit today," Selby says. Elouise nods and picks a new item instead.
"मैं आज आपको स्टोर क्रेडिट दे सकती हूँ," सेल्बी कहती है। एलुईस सिर हिलाती है और उसके बदले कोई नई चीज़ चुनती है।
She chooses a set of kitchen towels. Selby scans the new item. The store credit covers the whole cost.

Elouise thanks Selby and walks out with her towels. She leaves the blender box at the counter. Her aunt never learns about the switch.
एलुईस सेल्बी को धन्यवाद देती है और अपने तौलियों के साथ बाहर निकल जाती है। वह ब्लेंडर का डिब्बा काउंटर पर छोड़ देती है। उसकी चाची को इस अदला-बदली का कभी पता नहीं चलता।
