The Campsite or the Cabin

Xander and Nasrin drive to the lake for the weekend. They stop at the entrance and look at the map.

ज़ेंडर और नसरीन सप्ताहांत के लिए झील पर गाड़ी से जाते हैं। वे प्रवेश द्वार पर रुककर नक़्शा देखते हैं।

"We can camp by the water," Xander says. "Or we can rent a cabin," he says.

"हम पानी के किनारे कैंप कर सकते हैं," ज़ेंडर कहता है। "या हम एक केबिन किराए पर ले सकते हैं," वह कहता है।

"The campsite is a good price," Nasrin says.

"कैंपसाइट की क़ीमत अच्छी है," नसरीन कहती है।

"But rain comes tonight," Xander says, and checks his phone.

"लेकिन आज रात बारिश आएगी," ज़ेंडर कहता है और अपना फ़ोन देखता है।

Nasrin looks up at the gray clouds above the trees. "A cabin sounds dry and warm," she says.

नसरीन पेड़ों के ऊपर के सलेटी बादलों को देखती है। "केबिन सूखा और गर्म रहेगा," वह कहती है।

"Let's just get the cabin this time," Xander says.

"चलो इस बार केबिन ही ले लेते हैं," ज़ेंडर कहता है।

They drive to the small row of wooden cabins. The owner gives them a key for cabin four. Inside, there is a bed, a stove, and a window.

वे लकड़ी के छोटे केबिनों की क़तार की ओर जाते हैं। मालिक उन्हें केबिन नंबर चार की चाबी देता है। अंदर एक बिस्तर, एक चूल्हा और एक खिड़की है।

Rain starts to fall. They light the stove right away. They sit by the window and watch the drops fall.

बारिश गिरने लगती है। वे तुरंत चूल्हा जला लेते हैं। वे खिड़की के पास बैठकर बूँदों को गिरते देखते हैं।

Nasrin makes tea on the little stove. Xander opens a bag of cards for a game.

नसरीन छोटे चूल्हे पर चाय बनाती है। ज़ेंडर खेलने के लिए ताश की गड्डी का थैला खोलता है।

Outside, the campsite tents sit empty in the storm.

बाहर कैंपसाइट के तंबू तूफ़ान में ख़ाली पड़े हैं।

"We made the right choice," Nasrin says, and laughs. They play cards and listen to the rain all night.

"हमने सही चुनाव किया," नसरीन कहती है और हँस पड़ती है। वे ताश खेलते हैं और रात भर बारिश की आवाज़ सुनते हैं।
