Ivan gets home from work on Tuesday.
Iván llega a casa del trabajo el martes.
A big box sits by his door.
Una caja grande está junto a su puerta.
He picks up the box and looks at it.
Recoge la caja y la mira.
The name on the box says "Paula Reyes."
El nombre en la caja dice «Paula Reyes».
Ivan does not know a Paula Reyes.
Iván no conoce a ninguna Paula Reyes.
He checks the address again.
Revisa la dirección otra vez.
The apartment number is 4B, not his 4D.
El número del apartamento es 4B, no el suyo, 4D.
Ivan carries the box down the hall.
Iván lleva la caja por el pasillo.
He knocks on the door of 4B.
Toca la puerta del 4B.
A woman opens the door with a smile.
Una mujer abre la puerta con una sonrisa.
"Hi, are you Paula?" Ivan asks.
«Hola, ¿eres Paula?», pregunta Iván.
"Yes, that's me," she says.
«Sí, soy yo», dice ella.
"I think this box is yours," he says.
«Creo que esta caja es tuya», dice él.
Paula looks at the label and smiles.
Paula mira la etiqueta y sonríe.
"Oh, my new lamp! Thank you so much."
«¡Ay, mi lámpara nueva! Muchas gracias».
"The driver left it at my door," Ivan says.
«El repartidor la dejó en mi puerta», dice Iván.
"That happens a lot in this building," Paula says.
«Eso pasa mucho en este edificio», dice Paula.
She takes the box from his hands.
Ella toma la caja de sus manos.
"Would you like to come in for tea?" Paula asks.
«¿Quieres pasar a tomar un té?», pregunta Paula.
Ivan smiles and nods his head.
Iván sonríe y asiente con la cabeza.
"Sure, I have some time," he says.
«Claro, tengo un poco de tiempo», dice él.
They sit at her small kitchen table.
Se sientan en la pequeña mesa de su cocina.
Paula opens the box and finds her lamp.
Paula abre la caja y encuentra su lámpara.
"It's perfect for my reading chair," she says.
«Es perfecta para mi sillón de lectura», dice ella.
"I'm glad it found the right home," Ivan says.
«Me alegra que haya encontrado el hogar correcto», dice Iván.
Paula laughs and pours two cups of tea.
Paula se ríe y sirve dos tazas de té.
"Neighbors should help each other," she says.
«Los vecinos deben ayudarse entre sí», dice ella.
"I agree completely," Ivan says with a smile.
«Estoy completamente de acuerdo», dice Iván con una sonrisa.
