The Squeaky Door

Sami's noisy bedroom door wakes up his sister, so he fixes it himself.
Sami's bedroom door squeaked constantly. Opening it made a loud noise. Closing it made a loud noise too.
At night, the noise woke up his little sister. She complained about it every morning. Sami felt bad about the noise.
Sami wanted to fix the problem. He did not know how to start. He asked his father what to do.
"Try some oil on the hinges," his father said. Sami looked in the garage for oil. He found an old oil can there.
He opened his door very slowly. He put a few drops on each hinge. He moved the door back and forth gently.
The oil worked into the metal parts. Sami wiped off the extra drops. He tried the door one more time.
Sami opened and closed the door again. This time, there was no sound at all. He grinned at his quiet door.
His little sister walked by and stopped. "It's quiet now," she said, surprised. She thanked him with a big smile.
Sami smiled and oiled the other doors too. Now the whole house was quiet. Everyone slept better that night.
