Ugo opens his mailbox on Tuesday. There is one letter inside. It has no stamp and no name.
He opens it. Inside is a drawing of a small stage. Under the drawing, there are four words: "Saturday, 4 pm".
Ugo looks at the paper for a long time. Who writes a letter like this? He does not know.
He goes to the shop on the corner. "Do you know about this letter?" he asks. The woman at the shop shakes her head.
He asks the old man upstairs. The old man does not know. He asks the mail carrier. The mail carrier says, "No stamp, no mail. It is not from me."
Ugo walks home. Next door, a girl called Dalia plays in her garden. She has paint on her hands. She looks at him, and then she looks away.
"Dalia, do you know about this?" Ugo asks. He shows her the drawing.
She smiles. "Yes. It is an invitation," she says. "I have a puppet show. Please come on Saturday."
On Saturday at four, Ugo sits in the garden. Five people sit near him. Dalia has two puppets, a cat and a bird.
The show is short and very funny. At the end, Ugo claps and claps.
