Choosing a New Apartment

Priya compares two apartments before choosing the one that fits her daily life best.
Priya needs a new apartment. She looks at two apartments this week. The first one is small and close to her job. The second one is big but far from work.
On Monday, she visits the small apartment. It has one bedroom and a tiny kitchen. The walls are white and the rooms are bright. She can walk to work in ten minutes.
On Tuesday, she visits the big apartment. It has two bedrooms and a large kitchen. There is also a small balcony with a nice view. But the bus ride to work takes forty minutes.
Priya makes a list on paper. She writes the good and bad points of each place. The small apartment is cheaper and close to work. The big apartment has more space and a balcony.
She calls her sister and talks about both apartments. Her sister asks, "Which place do you like more?"
Priya thinks about her mornings. She thinks about the long bus ride. She thinks about her small kitchen at the other place.
"I want the small apartment," Priya says. "I don't want a long bus ride every day."
Her sister laughs. "I understand," she says. "More time for coffee in the morning."
Priya calls the landlord. She signs the papers for the small apartment. She packs her boxes over the weekend. On moving day, her friends help her carry everything upstairs.
She puts her bed by the window. She opens the curtains. Sunlight fills the small, bright room. Priya looks around her new home and feels happy.
