Henry and Claire move into a new house. They want to paint one room. They can not agree on the color.
亨利和克莱尔搬进了一座新房子。他们想粉刷一个房间，却在颜色上谈不拢。
Henry likes a soft blue color. Claire likes a warm yellow color. They go to the paint shop together.
亨利喜欢柔和的蓝色。克莱尔喜欢温暖的黄色。他们一起去了油漆店。
The shop has many paint cards. Henry holds up a blue card. Claire holds up a yellow card.
店里有很多色卡。亨利举起一张蓝色的卡片。克莱尔举起一张黄色的卡片。
"The blue is calm," Henry says. "The yellow is warm and bright," Claire says.
“蓝色让人平静。”亨利说。“黄色温暖又明亮。”克莱尔说。
They can not choose one color. They ask the shop worker for help. The worker shows them a green card.
他们选不出一种颜色，就请店员帮忙。店员给他们看了一张绿色的色卡。
Henry and Claire do not want green. They want their own colors. They look at the cards again.
亨利和克莱尔不想要绿色。他们想要自己选的颜色。他们又看起了色卡。
Claire has an idea. "We can paint one wall blue," she says. "We can paint the other wall yellow."
克莱尔有了一个主意。“我们可以把一面墙刷成蓝色，”她说，“另一面墙刷成黄色。”
Henry smiles at the idea. "That is a good plan," he says. They buy both paint cans.
亨利对这个主意笑了。“这个办法好。”他说。他们把两桶油漆都买了。
They drive home with the paint cans. They open the cans in the small room. Henry paints the first wall blue.
他们带着油漆桶开车回家。他们在小房间里打开了桶盖。亨利把第一面墙刷成了蓝色。
