Two Campsites for the Weekend

Reza and Iris stand at the campground office. They hold a map. Two campsites are open for the weekend.

Reza e Iris estão parados no escritório do camping. Eles seguram um mapa. Dois lugares para acampar estão disponíveis para o fim de semana.

"Site 4 is near the bathrooms," Reza says. "But it sits next to the road."

"O lote 4 fica perto dos banheiros", diz Reza. "Mas fica ao lado da estrada."

"Site 12 is near the lake," Iris says. "It is far from the bathrooms. We need to carry our bags a long way."

"O lote 12 fica perto do lago", diz Iris. "Fica longe dos banheiros. Vamos ter que carregar as malas por um longo trecho."

They look at the map together and think about the weekend ahead.

Eles olham o mapa juntos e pensam no fim de semana pela frente.

"I like the sound of the lake in the morning," Reza says.

"Eu gosto do som do lago de manhã", diz Reza.

"Me too," Iris says. "Let's carry our bags and take site 12."

"Eu também", diz Iris. "Vamos carregar as malas e ficar com o lote 12."

They sign the papers at the office and drive to site 12. The lake sits past a row of tall trees. It looks calm and blue in the afternoon light.

Eles assinam os papéis no escritório e dirigem até o lote 12. O lago fica depois de uma fileira de árvores altas. Ele parece calmo e azul à luz da tarde.

They set up their tent close to the water. That evening, they sit outside. They watch the sun go down over the lake.

Eles montam a barraca perto da água. Naquela noite, eles ficam sentados do lado de fora. Eles observam o sol se pôr sobre o lago.

"No bathroom next door," Iris says, "but we have this view instead."

"Sem banheiro ao lado", diz Iris, "mas temos essa vista no lugar."

Reza laughs and passes her a cup of tea. "Good trade," he says.

Reza ri e passa a ela uma xícara de chá. "Boa troca", ele diz.
