Bex and Kiran share a small dorm room. They usually talk and laugh every night. This week, Kiran stays quiet and short with her answers.
बेक्स और किरण हॉस्टल का एक छोटा कमरा साझा करती हैं। वे आमतौर पर हर रात बातें और हँसी-मज़ाक करती हैं। इस हफ़्ते किरण चुप रहती है और जवाब भी छोटे-छोटे देती है।
Bex borrows Kiran's favorite mug for her tea. She forgets to wash it right away. Kiran looks at the mug and says nothing.
बेक्स अपनी चाय के लिए किरण का पसंदीदा मग ले लेती है। वह उसे तुरंत धोना भूल जाती है। किरण मग को देखती है और कुछ नहीं कहती।
Bex starts to worry. She thinks Kiran is angry about the mug. She avoids the room and stays at the library instead.
बेक्स को चिंता होने लगती है। उसे लगता है कि किरण मग की वजह से नाराज़ है। वह कमरे से बचती है और उसकी जगह लाइब्रेरी में रहती है।
On Thursday night, Bex finally comes home late. Kiran is still awake at her desk. Papers cover the whole table.
गुरुवार की रात बेक्स आख़िरकार देर से घर आती है। किरण अब भी अपनी मेज़ पर जाग रही है। पूरी मेज़ काग़ज़ों से ढकी है।
"Are you mad at me?" Bex asks quietly. Kiran looks up, surprised. "Mad? No, not at all."
"क्या तुम मुझसे नाराज़ हो?" बेक्स धीरे से पूछती है। किरण हैरानी से ऊपर देखती है। "नाराज़? नहीं, बिल्कुल नहीं।"
"You barely talk to me," Bex says. "I thought it was the mug." Kiran laughs and shakes her head.
"तुम मुझसे ज़रा भी बात नहीं कर रहीं," बेक्स कहती है। "मुझे लगा कि वजह वह मग है।" किरण हँस पड़ती है और सिर हिलाती है।
"I have a huge exam tomorrow," Kiran says. "I am stressed, not angry." She points to a thick stack of notes.
"कल मेरा एक बहुत बड़ा इम्तिहान है," किरण कहती है। "मैं तनाव में हूँ, नाराज़ नहीं।" वह नोट्स के एक मोटे ढेर की ओर इशारा करती है।
Bex feels relieved right away. She sits down next to Kiran. "Let me make you some tea," she says.
बेक्स को तुरंत राहत मिलती है। वह किरण के पास बैठ जाती है। "ठहरो, मैं तुम्हारे लिए चाय बनाती हूँ," वह कहती है।
She washes the mug first this time. She makes two cups of tea. The roommates study together until midnight.

Kiran passes her exam the next day. She tells Bex the good news first. They celebrate with pizza in their small room.
अगले दिन किरण इम्तिहान में पास हो जाती है। वह सबसे पहले बेक्स को यह ख़ुशख़बरी सुनाती है। वे अपने छोटे कमरे में पिज़्ज़ा खाकर जश्न मनाती हैं।
After that night, Bex and Kiran make a new rule. They talk first about any bad mood.
उस रात के बाद बेक्स और किरण एक नया नियम बनाती हैं। किसी भी बुरे मूड के बारे में वे सबसे पहले बात करेंगी।
Every Sunday now, they make tea together. They talk about the whole week. Small problems never last long now.
